What will you do to make Swain top viable again?

Swain is meant to be this raid boss drain tank with zone control and tankiness, but now he doesn’t achieve anything.

He has stupid long cooldowns on all his abilities. He has like 0 waveclear and you removed his free mana sustain so now he goes oom after a few Qs.

His W is still one of the most useless abilities in the game.

He has been nerfed too much into uselessness that he has now been relegated into support role because he has no other lane to go to. If you take Swain top you lose all matchups regardless of melee or ranged and then you become useless in the mid and late game.

Swain top only has somewhat viability because of Conqueror, but when that gets nerfed Swain has no other lane to go.

same thing for zyra.... her rework and the addition of all these crazy assassins destroyed her midlane potential. she never gets skins and barely has lore. other champs one shot her plants rendering her whole kit's purpose useless. not one word from riot about that though because they just don't see $ signs when they look at Zyra.

I dont think he should be viable top, a ranged champion in top is just pure shit. If you are the melee champ.

For one they need to make his Soul Shards matter

Making each Soul Shard give him +5% damage and +5% Omni LifeSteal (so +25% damage and +25% Omni LifeSteal at 5 shards) and make his Q Cost a Soul Shard but cost zero mana would make his play style WAY better.

He would have to manage his Soul Shards for sustain and for damage.

As he gains Soul Shards she becomes more of a threat but his Main wave clear and damage cost his this threat.

Also his Ult at full soul shards would be strong so you would want to play around him having not full stacks.

Maybe his E should be recastable so you can call it back early. Currently you have to put yourself in a very awkward position to just nail someone with E long range, and E takes pretty long to come back to help you when being engaged on.

He won't. Right now his lane is Support, and that is what it will stay. I said from day one this is a bad rework, and even the mini is proving my point, even tho it removed so many limiters on him. Swain needs another V/GP UD. He looks like stupid, and his "drain tank, short rang mage" identity was pushed on the the people that liked him. He should have been a DoT mage that ult turns him in to a bird demon.

The "drain tank, short rang mage" is a balance nightmare (same with Aatrox, they need too many stats) that will leave him under-powered or oppressive, so unless they want to sell his skins they will leave him in the toilet.

I have to go, but all i can say is let him grow out dated, and underplayed so Riot has to admit the rework is stupid, and he is getting another. I doubt it, but it is a fact that everyone needs to get on board for.
