Wukong players need to calm down and relax.

I noticed a dramatic increase of toxicity from Wukong players wherever I go, including reddit. They cannot accept the fact that he wont get buffed until his VGU and his VGU is still many years away. He isn't even on riots planned update list. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Champion_updates

There are many champions that are weaker than him and need a VGU more than he does. As someone who mains Morde and Mundo, I have been waiting almost 10 years for a full VGU on these champions. I don't get upset having to wait so long and most of these players who are fans of these champions also don't get upset. There are over 140 champions out now. One champion doesn't constitute the whole league player base. Many people have been waiting so patiently for these reworks for almost a decade and Wukong holds up much better visually and game play wise.

Yet, Wukong players are acting so rebellious and arrogant towards riot and feel like they deserve far more simply because its their favorite champion.

Let me just say this. There is far more demand for a Morde, Mundo and pantheon VGU worldwide than Wukong by both the player base and riots team. The Chinese players love Wukong the way he is and most people outside China don't care about him right now. You wukong players are not entitled to anything by riot. Its a business that needs to meet consumer demand and Wukong just isn't high priority right now for that due to focusing on champions who are a lot higher in demand for changes.

You seem to miss the idea of what most of us are asking for. Most of us are not asking for a VGU, hell a few Wukong players do not want a full VGU for him and think his visuals are fine. But we ARE asking for them to at least update his passive if nothing else, which is small, would not conflict with other possible VGUs and would be something as small as the work they did with Lissandra or even Ornn who they didn't even bring up until it was ready to hit the PBE. THAT is what we are asking for and what he needs at the very least, because at this rate it WILL be another 4 years before he will be up for a VGU and most of us will NOT be waiting that long.

Even Rioters have repeatedly promised that he'd be getting updated to some degree over the past few years to which they go back on at the last moment, recently being them saying he was on the short list of champ updates which they changed at the last moment. That kind of continued issue along with them not really seeming to care about him as a character as a character in their own lore, is what is frustrating us. Champs like Mundo and Morde will always be cared about to some extent cause they belong to league. Wukong doesn't though. to Riot, he's just a way to appeal to the Chinese market and to sell chinese merch. He's like Ahri for the rest of the world, but only for china, not anywhere else.

And that said, any Chinese player I've talked to seems to want him reworked as well. Don't sit there and lump them all together like they all have a hive mind about him. Odds are, yea the majority like him as is, but quite a few can still be wanting a VGU for him. Riot didn't give exact numbers on that and there is far from any reason to assume 100% of Chinese players think he's fine and in fact is just ridiculous to assume they ALL think that. most likely was how it was 4 years ago here where some people wanted him reworked, but most were fine with where he was at.

At the end of the day, Riot has repeatedly promised to update him in SOME way, but they have not... THAT is what is frustrating us. Not that they won't give him a VGU, not that he needs better visuals or something, it's that they keep telling us it will happen and then they go back on it, to make way for a champ that is FAR newer in a lot of cases and should be further down any list that they are both on.

But to be REALLY honest here, none of this matters... where he's popular, what our opinions on the matter are, none of it. Riot is going to re-evaluate champs at the end of the year to assess where they are at and what characters need what. No point in continuing this argument this year as they pretty much warping up things for the year. We've made whatever case we possibly can at this point for him and they will likely take a look at where he's at for the next round of stuff they are working on next year. God willing, they will have a passive update for Wukong for the next Lissandra level update, Morde will be the next large scale VGU with Mundo being the next mini VGU and we can all be happy.

I think part of what is frustrating is that several Rioters have mentiond things that arent riht about Wukong, from his passive to his gameplay to his burst patterns, but the things they do to sort these problems are non-existant or counterproductive to their intended goals.

So, wukong was meant to be a bruiser, but all the recent changes and meta have made assassination his only viable role. Riot nerfs his base damage, which only exacerbates the fact that he cannot go bruiser if his base damage isnt significant. If they want him to not be a burst assassin because hes too reliable, then nerf scaling of abilities and buff base damage so that he can go tanky and still do decent damage.

Theyve recognized his mana issues are notorious, having some of the lowest mana and highest costs..... but do nothing about it.

Theyve asked about how to improve his passive... and have ignored all feedback.

They gave him compensations when duskblade was nerfed... and then nerfed his base damage on Q and E, scaling on E, duskblade, stormazor, electrocute, and sudden impact.... and left him there.

Thats what makes it more frustrating.

Mundo and Morde both being played as broken champs in top and botlane respectively until they got nerfed, Nice try!! . Wukong just showed up one time at lcs and got gutted just bcs of his gameplay style (NOT EVEN BROKEN, JUST PLAYABLE). Thats why the player base of mainwukongs are acting like that, because of the different treatment depending on the champ (look at Sejuani), we complain about balance team being disrespectfull to some champs and players, not because they forgot about wukong as a result of a problematic champ (binary), what indeed they have.

Sadly, most people who main a champion have a major logical blindspot for them. What I mean is that they throw all critical thinking out the window when talking about their main and are instead driven by emotion.

You'll see this all the time with people crying for Ahri buffs after she gets the tiniest of nerfs, people begging for "quality of life" base damage increases or cast time decreases on Katarina, Mordekaiser players acting like his W healing from Yorick's minions isn't completely insane, etc.

To be fair though anyone who mains any outdated champ acts like this, some are worse some are better. I would take them as a grain of salt. Its like if you look up this formula you will always see bad things "X players are" There are shitty players of all of the champs as there are good players of all of the champs.
