Riot, you NEED TO STOP putting people in placements into high silver games.

It creates an extremely toxic environment and 9/10 you're going to lose because the person in placements is clueless as fuck and takes fervor on Ahri along with her butt buddy who goes Nasus jg. Well why didn't I dodge? I'm at 0 lp and I'm not about to demote to silver 2. Meanwhile the other thinks its hilarious and runs around fucking trolling because everyone on my team had a miserable kda. I was 5/1 and ended up 6/7 because of a fed vayne, nasus, and rengar. That Rengar was SMASHED by me the dumbasses on my team found a way to feed him a shit load of gold. I'm so over being matched with people STILL IN PLACEMENTS, PLEASE PUT THEM IN MID-LOW BRONZE PLEASE.

Sincerely, an enraged player

EDIT: I'm expecting a chat restriction no lie I lost my shit in this game. Literally vegetables

One thing to note is that you can't get demoted by dodging if you're at 0 LP (or at least I'm fairly certain of that). You'll just go into the negative numbers. For example, if you were at 0 LP and it was your first dodge of the day, you would end up at -3 LP. You would then lose 10 LP for each subsequent dodge.

Not that I'm against the idea, but doing so will create further problems such as "Riot, you need to stop putting plat smurfs in placements into high bronze games" and so on.

It's unfortunate, but that is the testing ground riot's set. Someone's gotta do it, and those around that elo simply happen to be that someone.

silver 1 is way too high for the average player. They need to be place in bronze 1 or something. Too many games are being ruined by new players getting wrecked in silver 1 games.

Salt aside, there's an argument to be made that people just out of placement shouldn't be in Silver.

I think it's an inherited property from the Elo system, where people start at the middle of the interval, because without prior information, you just assume that a new player is average, neither good nor bad, so you start them in the middle. But this assumption is flawed, even a talented new player is likely to be worse than an "untalented" players with hundred of games of experience to rely on.

"High Silver" is not some paramount achievement the likes of which the plebs can only dream of, it's around the 50th percentile of ranked players, the median. Being in high silver means you're pretty much just average. That's an appropriate place for players who are doing well in their placements.

Ok so everyone in placements will just play their games in bronze?.... Just deal with it.
