i'm really bad at ADC

DoFr··2 votes·1,750 views

like i can't CS with an ADC, or can i position myself properly, i don't know when to go in, or when to punish, i almost always lose when i play adc or i get Carried hard

no matter how much i try to focus on Cs'ing i always end up with less CS than the enemy ADC

in teamfights i'm the worst, i always die, assassins always get to me, i think my biggest problem is that i follow up almost immediately, because i play jungle and top much more often, i'm used to lead the charge, and understand the focus, and how to tank and peel

i'm not plays maker, i help set up the plays

but over the time, there's always that one game where every other role is taken and i'm forced to ADC. i haven't found an ADC that Fits my playstyle, don't think i'll find one on my own, but yea, overall, i'm really bad and i need help/advice from the ADC mains out there

like what runes to use, and how do i know if Lifesteal quints are better on x champion than AD quints (some even suggested me MS quints) and other mentioned AS quints, each keep talking on what they think is the best, while i'm sitting here having no idea what to do, or what to use

i'm Tired of losing as an ADC, is there any Guide to ADC for dummies? whenever i ADC i become pretty useless

How is it that you can't CS as an ADC yet play top lane just fine. CS in top lane is practically a boxing match, and you'll get pummeled if you don't know what your doing.

CSing as an ADC should be pretty strait forward. Make sure that you however have a good understanding on your ADC's Attack range and do your best to skirt on the edge of that range. Playing ADC requires you to work with Your support. Generally you should wait for your Support to CC the enemy before engaging. If you get nailed by the enemy supports Exhaust, try to avoid getting hit by the enemy ADC. Largely, I don't focus a Target, but rather Club the closes target I can reach. This prevents me from Over extending and even if I miss the kill, I still will have the lane advantage.

Theirs a slightly subtle aspect of wave management called Freezing. Which is managing the minion wave so that it's pushing against you, Forcing the enemy to be in an uncomfortable position away from their tower. I'd watch a guide or the LCS if you want to get an Idea how to do that. If you get a Freeze, Call down the Jungler, as it make a gank more likely to succeed. If the enemy freezes, you can Try to push the lane into the enemy tower. This will cause the minions to bounce back and break the Freeze. Or if their Frozen deep in their territory. (after the first tower went down) Make a play on another side of the map.

top lane is much more loose, as there is no "punishing" only poking or Death, that, and the fact that you have to take into account 1 person in lane that's trying to kill you, unlike bot lane where's there 2.

aside from that, i always have a full understanding of my power while playing top, i understand at what health i can execute minions with last hitting

like i said iam way too Far from a good ADC to have a Familiar feeling about my Power in lane

It's widely accepted that AS quints are best on ADC. They help you not to miss a cs if two creeps are low, they give some smoothness to those carries who rush IE and don't typically get attack speed until later, and make your trading more swift in lane.

Trading can be as simple as a single auto attack when the enemy goes for a cs. You don't have to commit to a big brawl. Try to wear them down.

Understand your power spikes. I myself play mostly auto attack carries such as Twitch/Vayne. It's tough to trade early with casters such as Lucian/Corki on these champs. Do not initiate a trade in a bad lane, but do not let them push you around and trade for free. Counter-trade with them. You need to wait for items or jungle ganks in a bad matchup.

Honestly, team fighting is a mess until you climb to higher elo. Most of the time your teammates won't peel assassins off you, so you need to win lane to the point where team fights are auto-won because you have better items.

Try playing Sivir, Caitlyn, Lucian or Ezreal. Sivir is great even if you fall behind because of her wave clear and utility ult. Caitlyn is hard to fall behind on because she's so safe. Lucian has strong and simple trading capabilities and will make you feel badass. Fall back on Ezreal if the enemy team has some intimidating assassins. His E works wonders against them.
