@Riot, I thought you guys liked counter-play?
Remember when Twisted Fates ultimate also had a global slow attached to it? Obviously global CC was too powerful and was removed, but even back then Twisted Fates global slow and reveal had counter play attached to it. Spell block would stop the ultimate and cleanse could remove the slow. Way too strong, but still allowed for both parties to make meaningful choices in their summoner spells, item purchases, and plays.
Which brings me to Nocturne. Nocturne has global CC. Hard CC in fact, and it is 100% completely without counter-play. I personally think the vision reduction is very cool, and I don't want it removed, neither do I think Nocturne is OP or anything silly like that(although his entire kit in general seems to be designed around giving his victims as few meaningful choices as possible). There are so many opportunists to give a nocturnes opponent interesting and cool ways to work around his GLOBAL CC.
Things that should counter the vision restriction during Nocturnes ultimate-
Wards(that you have personally placed during the ult) Clairvoyance Blue Trinket Spells designed to grant vision eg. Lux's E ability or Twisted Fates ultimate or Nidalee's Traps Spell Block Cleanse
All these opportunists for counter-play, and yet none exist. Let's think about this for a second. Clairvoyance, a summoner spell designed specifically to give vision. Cleanse is a summoner spell designed specifically to counter powerful CC effects, yet neither are able to work during Nocturnes ult, which is precisely the reason such spells exist in the first place. Obviously these spells aren't very good or used very often but let's pretend for a moment that all summoners are equally useful or viable. What if a global CC ult prevented an entire enemy team from using both ignite AND flash without any possibilities for prevention? Would anyone for even one moment think such a spell was fair or balanced? That is how powerful the vision removal is.
It also completely negates the exact spells that it shouldn't counter. Lee Sin is a blind monk, yet he can't see the targets of his abilities anymore? Twisted Fates ult is completely wrecked. Nidalee's traps, Cait's cupcakes, etc etc are all completely demolished. We are talking about a skill that completely shuts down DOZENS of spell on dozens of champions. In other words its practically a global silence for many of leagues champions. This is completely ridiculous and over the top and needs to be changed.
