My Known Counters to Some Commonly Struggled Against Champs

This is not going to cover every champ that everyone thinks is overpowered, as that is every champ in the game. I have compiled a list of some counters to those champs that many people think have no counterplay, are OP, or are simply annoying. I apoligize if the champ(s) you wanted me to talk about aren't on this list, but if you reply to this post asking for it I may edit this post to answer you if I'm in a good mood.

MasterYi : Wait until he uses his Q and/or overcommits, then CC him, if it is a duel and he has an equal or greater gold amount than you this won't work. In those cases it is simply best to not go anywhere alone without wards. He's also extremely vulnerable early game, so if you can organize good invasions into the enemy jungle early on and manage to kill Yi once or twice that is going to set him back a lot in the long run. Also, early on, be careful not to feed him, because Yi snowballs extremely well and even a slight lead can grow enough to make him unstoppable.

Yasuo : CC and burst are what can really shut down a Yasuo, just make sure to anticipate his windwall and passive sheild so that all your efforts don't go to waste. It might be a good idea to group early with someone who has a lot of tankiness/CC, particularly favoring CC, tankiness is optional, fiddlesticks, gnar, and sion are good examples. Keep his mobility in mind, he is only extremely mobile when he is around enemy minons, meaning he has to tank the minion damage. He won't have much mobility at all when near his own minon line or in the jungle, but he can still dash through monsters and champions.

Katarina : Bait her ult, then CC her and punish. Try not to trade too much early on, but rather wait until she has used her spells and then punish, if she's not using her spells on the minons, push the wave, and she'll either be constantly be forced under tower, or use her spells on the minons, which you can then properly punish.

Annie : If you are good at the game, you can abuse her limited number of good tricks to surpass her, she has little mobility, utility, defense, and a high cooldown on her ult, the number of ways this can be exploited is limitless. If you are not good at the game, I then ask your jungler for a lot of ganks early on, a lot of Junglers like to primarily gank mid a lot anyway, so this shouldn't be too difficult unless you don't have a premade jungler and get matched with one that is bad or doesn't listen. If you are unsure if this will be the case, ban her, or just pick yasuo and try to dodge/windwall everything you can. You can just wait for her to burst down someone else and then kill her while her abilities are on cooldown, which works almost every time unless you misjudge her cooldowns.

Teemo : A cross and holy water.

Darius : He's extremely immobile and easily kited. Pick someone with a form of ranged harass like Pantheon or Teemo if you can. Also, tell your jungler to not gank your lane if the jungler is squishy (Master Yi or Nidalee for example), because chances are they're just going to die. Play passively early on unless you have a massive ranged lead, if you feed Darius there is no more living for you or your carries.

Garen : Ward a lot, watch out for him (especially if you are the villain), poke him a lot so his passive and 6 warmogs are active the least amount possible, keep an escape rout in mind if he does show up, and don't stay in lane with him if you're even relatively low health. How well you do against him is basically how skilled you are at countering him (and playing the game, of course) in general.

Zed : I can't say much about this one. Playing against Zed is almost entirely a skill matchup, every Q can be juked, every ult can be followed up with CC and burst so he has no untargetability to dodge it with, every W cast and recast provides and uses a mobility opportunity respectively, even his E has same tactics with the energy restoration and slow. Playing with and against Zed is anticipating and outplaying your opponent, but if you just want a couter pick champion, play Kayle.

There, I hope you enjoyed the list and can now demolish those pesky Katarinas and Garens better now, but if you still can't counter these champs even with these tips, either go to someone better at explaining than me, or just ban them.

Annie's R has a low CD if Tibbers lives (iirc, they may have changed it. It is/used to be ~40 seconds refunded if Tibbers did not die). It's also not really that low in general. Tips against her is stay out of her range.

You can't dodge Zed's Q right after he ults you if you are not able to CC him instantly.

I see no sources saying that the cooldown of Annie ult refunds itself if Tibbers lives, then again I also only knew that tibbers enrages and tries to evenge Annie if she is killed because of a loading screen, so who knows.

You can actually dodge zed's Q if you use a blink or very fast dash to dodge it as soon as zed becomes targetable again. In reality if Zed is just going to attack you immediately after being pressed up against you (from the ult) you should probably abuse that instead with CC or burst damage, unless he has the threat of procing is passive on you, then you should probably just run.
