Why Riot is not listening

The reason that riot is putting off solo queue is because they want to promote social gameplay, since people who plays with friends tends to buy more stuff and have a higher rate of retaining playing the game. If the reason is promoting social play, why can't riot come up with something new instead of ruining ranked? Give players something that would encourage playing with friends that doesn't involve making solo players the unwanted child. We may not buy as much stuff, but we are still paying customers. Why do our voices not matter?
