removing dragons and replacing them with beasts
The current dragon system feels a little underwhelming considering the stats that it gives is mostly out of combat stats and they just seem really un noticed in team fights and skirmishes , the dragon system right now is very creative with very different stats that it gives but because it is creative doesn't mean that it is good. The dragon system right now feels really underwhelming unless you get 3 dragons of each (with the exception of the infernal drake which is obviously the best one), what i have to suggest is to replace dragons with electrifying beasts.
Goals of Beasts Now the goal is to try and make Beasts more impactful and showing you that it is actually making a difference in fights with clear visual effects and it should help in the mid game and really have something to fight over rather then dragons which stats are more hidden and passive Now these beasts are as big as rift herald and spawn in at the 15 minute mark and spawn 6 minutes after you kill the beast, and like baron these beasts only give the buff to the players that are alive and it lasts 2:30 minutes, like the elemental dragons there are going to be different beasts that spawn.
Types of Beasts Now these are only some of the ideas i have and balance.
First: The Beast of Thunder Whenever there are 3 or more enemies in 500 range beside each other basic attacks shock the enemy with a jolt of electricity and apply thunder, Thunder strikes the enemy champion and any other champions that are near by, Thunder Beast scales with 40% of total ad (50 effiective for ranged champs, so adcs cant abuse+not amplified by crit) + 20% ap The goals for the thunder beast: The teamfight beast that whenever enemies are clomped together it really takes over team fights
Second The Beast of Purity All champions gain + 20 movement speed in addition to getting PURIFICATION, Whenever someone is hard cc'd they are blessed with purification (think like a soraka ult coming down to rescue you) after a short delay purification cleanses you and you restore 100 +10 per level hp. Purification has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds and goes down with level 1/7/13 The goal of this Beast is to add protection and incase things get to scrappy it gives u a second chance of positioning better in fights and can be very useful especially at the end of the game, however it can be just as ineffective as if someone gets caught out and no one from your team can save u it will still result in a death sentence
The goal that i think epic monsters should have is clear visual effects and noticing the ones that you killed made a difference and i personally think that dragons have failed that, what beasts give you is very clear and the effects should make it more satisfying and it makes the objective a lot more worth contesting
