So what do we do with Kassadin? (Finding a permanent home for him in League.)

Hey there, Master Fledgling here.

I won't lie -- I don't know much about Kassadin and his playstyle or history, but I know he is constantly subjected to nerfs. I'd like to know what his long and rocky story is and then too what Riot could do for Kassadin to settle down for a longer period of time (I'd say forever, but that's unrealistic.)

As it stands, since Riot is apparently terrified of a highly mobile, damaging champ that isn't Nidalee or Akali (or Nidalee) or Zed (or Nidalee) (OR NIDALEE) what does his kit need to make him unique and usable? For some reason, I could see him becoming a good support if more CC was plugged into his kit since they are clearing out his damage. Apparently he can have one of two: Damage, movement or CC. I'd like some CC back on him.

Let me know what you think, Kassadin mains of yore!

I can't give you tons of details but the short version is that his Q used to have a silence attached, his attack speed increased if he took magic damage, his E was 4 charges and his ult was about the cooldown it is currently without the very high mana stacking costs. In short, he was far too powerful, far too safe and almost impossible to escape. He was permanently banned in LCS regularly with only a handful of games seeing him in before the rework.

A lot of Kassadin players have opinions on what they think would make him less safe while keeping Rift Walk even at the 700 range (not the 500 it is now). Riot just don't seem to have a clue what to do and this latest buff will likely see him nerfed hard again next patch. There are a few really good suggestions if you search around.
