I've played around with Stormraider's Surge and its nice and good and all but Thunderlord's. There isn't a whole lot that beats just having free extra damage. Although Stromraider's on Yi is quite funny.

I think players just got too comfortable with thunderlords. We shouldn't still be seeing thunderlords 9/10 players every game. I hardly even use it anymore.
Goosetard1 votesI usually go grasp on tanky tops for the sustain. If you trade more often than every 30 seconds I think the overall hp swing is better than thunderlords. I also started using DFT on velkoz when the other lineup is beefy and I can lane safely.
Weathered1 votesI still think Deathfire and Fervor suck. I mean, they have their niches on certain champions but more often than not the ones who use Fervor could also use TD or WB.

Princess Emma1 votesI would gladly use other Keystones, but I love the flat magic penetration from the precision mastery too much. Pretty much forced to use Thunderlord's at that point since I am so far down the cunning tree.

Stormraider's is by far my favorite, but it's not good on every champion. I think of the champions I play, it works best on 
SH Azykan1 votesI like fervor on champs with an auto attack reset. or on ADC's that dont necessarily get to abuse Thunderlords (MF/Corki) Fervor and DFT are going to give you way more teamfight damage and way more consistent dps once you get them going. Unfortunately the game is still in a state where lane dominance and early snowballing is incredibly strong. Which TL is better at.
Champs like Shyvana definitely like fervor more though. Especially since AA>Titanic AA reset>Q instantly stacks it fully and can give her great damage while being essentially full tank build.
