i was paitently waiting for Showdown this year
there's asbolutely nothing i enjoy more in league other than competitive gamemodes, such as showdown, and Ascension
they are short, they're fun, and my god are they intense
i love those 2 gamemodes with a passion, hey some people like urf, some people like aram, but i like those two
i constructed ALOT of builds for different champions in those 2 gamemodes, because unlike other modes, these 2 are meant for blood spoiling, you're only playing that gamemode to kill, now a part of you will disagree that Ascension is a Team deathmatch kind of a game, but i play it that way, and brining that full damage builds on your champion is very satisfying, because nobody got the time to flame you, nobody got the time to check your build, nobody got the time to worry about your mistakes.
i have NEVER in my entire life, had my heart beating about the enemy team stealing the xerath ascension buff i stole buffs, had buffs stolen from me, used xerath to my own good and make him kill fleeing enemies
as for showdown, oh wow, the amount of times i capitalized on enemy mistakes, it's even MORE INTENSE when it's a 2v2, the connection and the amount of trust you need to have is similar/stronger to the adc and support, except in this one, you're never truly farming, you're simply killing the minions infront of your enemies to give your partner a clear skillshot at them
i'm quite surprised nobody brought up showdown as it was my second most beloved gamemode (only bested by Ascension) and my 3rd fav is doombots
now i absolutely aware that these gamemodes are meant to be fun, but having an icon, such as the perfect Ascension, which i'm very proud about it (we had a complete dominance over Xerath until the enemy team almost killed it, stole it with a Nautilus Hook+passive+Statikk shiv proc+Trinity's proc all in 1 glorious hit of amazingess)
so tell me community, am i the only one who enjoys those challenges?
