Yasuo's weakness

ScissorsNstuff··2 votes·810 views

Have you ever really seen a yasuo freeze his lane? Did it really work?

Sure he can dash to you but he's stuck if the melee minions die and he isn't close enough to the ranged ones and he can't dash to you if he's trying to zone you unless you get really really close

the range on his dash is 475, for those who don't know aa range is 550

so what happens if yasuo lets you push the lane.. probably nothing good.

I'd like to skip your bullshit so I'm just going to skip to the part where I ask, is any good yasuo ever really going to let you shove the lane if you don't counter the living crap out of him somehow? If the answer is no then the next logical step is to ask, does yasuo typically HAVE to push the lane. If he rushes shiv he certainly will be, I know this much. Unless he's gonna farm with E of course which probably isn't as practical as it sounds

I have to upvote this, not because I agree, but because it was funny.

Well played.

I play a lot of Yasuo, and I have a few key points on how I like my waves to look.

  1. Caster minions are a very important resource. If i'm zoning during one of my power spikes, then having those caster minions alive last are the way I punish if they step too close.

  2. If I see the lane get too close to my tower, I instantly W and dash in to clear the wave and reset the lane.

Those are some obvious points because a Yasuo player knows not to ever get stuck under tower. And like you said, once you get Shiv it's almost impossible to not push the wave in. When you get to that point, that's a sign that you need to be roaming. Yasuo cannot freeze lane at that point, so his goal should be to push into the enemy tower hard and then roam. Whether to deep ward or gank, it's a necessary part of his play style because he has to push the wave in and if he doesn't he wont reach his power spike nearly fast enough to make a real difference.

Getting trapped under the tower is a death sentence for Yasuo's farm and roam potential. The only way I can see it being beneficial at all is if you're setting up for a gank.

so at least one person agrees that yasuo not only shouldn't but at some point can't even realistically try to freeze the lane.

Does anyone else agree with this?

edit:

(the next step is where we suggest that yasuo cannot freeze the lane and therefore must push the lane which then implies he must use up cooldowns to do so and thus creating potential windows of weakness therefore resources = potential counter to yasuo which would also explain why I have had better luck with mana regen against yasuo than I have building armor.)

I mean, personally, I like to let my opponents push and I freeze the wave outside my tower with windwall. I then cs with my e and wait for them to step a little too close and then all in.

Rinse and repeat for easy kills against most mages

been a bit but nobody is answering, could it be that nobody even knows the champ well enough to answer the question? or is everyone trolling and probably not even reading said question

As a yasuo main, I'd Persia May Day farming with e is a very necessary skill to have.

Like you do say, it's very hard to freeze a wave once you have shiv, but it is possible. It's a tactic I use all the time to force my opponent to overextend, even when they wouldn't want to
