So... about Ahri

Anyone else find her passive highly underwhelming?

For those that dont know, it is "if you hit the enemy champion with 2 spells you get 0.2% movement speed"

Edit: im told that it is 20%, but i checked a few times in my recent game with her and i strictly saw a 0.2%. So im very comfused. Either way, its still a kinda lackluster passive.

For those interested, her actual passive is: Whenever Ahri's spells hit a champion 2 times within 1.5 seconds, she gains 20% bonus movement speed for 3 seconds.

Lol, then my game with her had some in game text bug where it said 0.2%. Heck, it didnt even feel like a move speed boost.

It's going to stay that way since riot "needs" more data to see how the charm buff is going to affect her lmao. If they played the game they would have known what her problems are already but w/e another patch of not touching that trash champ.

''you get 0.2% movement speed'' not how math works.

Silly Neeko1 votes

Actually, you can have a 0.2%. Its called 0.002 in decimal form.

So yes. That is exactly how math works, whether my game had an in game text bug or not.

haha in text bug lmao. You read ''0.2'' and you assumed it was 0.2%.

No, i read 0.2%. I literally just stated exactly what i saw 4 times, this making the 5th.

Are you done attempting to troll?

Agreed. Not to mention that huge 9 seconds static cooldown. (Not affected by cdr)

Would you honestly want her passive to have no cd? Imagine how mobile she would be considering she basically has 6 abilities that would work with her passive.

Sivir's passive has no cd.

Sivir's passive has no cd.

Yeah cause sivir doesnt have CC nor dmg amp on her abilities or how her only other mobility than her passive is her ult, which is just flat ms and is an ult on on a 120-80s CD. Sivir is a bad example too since every time sivir is remotely good she is always the best adc in proplay. Ahri having a MS buff everytime she uses a 2nd ability would literally break her like it did in S5.

Yes, i would. It would cause her to be forced to spam spells for it, and that hurts her a lot early on. Even after a couple items she would still need blue buff for it to do a whole lot, and it would ONLY be in fight. It can be "stacks up to 2 times", or if 40% is too much (although i still need to see where someone got the 20% seeing as while i was in game i saw only 0.2%), then just remove the stack and make it the 20% that just refreshes itself or has time stacked rather than the speed.

It would reward her for going in on her enemies close enough for her W to hit and it would fall off pretty quick outside of a fight.

wasnt the entire point of this rework to make her LESS snowball relient?

Silly Neeko1 votes

She isnt snowball reliant. She can still proc it easily and have it quite similar to if she had the move speed on her Q just shifted to passive, but also have a way that her W is actually useful for more than some mediocre damage that locks on and applies on hits. Plus, if they die in 2 hits, then she doesnt get much of a passive now does she?

How is she not fucking snowball relient? Playing her without a lead feels awful as hell. It felt bad before the rework but now its just worse.

You could say the same thing for nearly every champ besides support champs.... and even then it still could be.

No, you really cannot. A good example is Yasuo since the boards love to bash on him so much. You can be behind but there is still a chance to not feel entirely useless and comeback. It feels like it is too much work to do so in new Ahri. I liked the rework but it made her feel worse to play. I'm not the only one, go to ahrimains subreddit and you'd see that the mains themselves feel that.

I think it would be cool if her passive MS was 20% while Essence Theft proc was up. That would at least give her some windowed roaming power.

Linna Excel1 votes

I think she needs a better passive, my problem with giving her a better one is IDK where she has a power budget for one. I think that moving the heal to her Q was the correct thing to do, but if you think about all the power in her other skills and her underwhelming W, I really don't see how riot could give her something that's better without having to nerf something else.
