Awkward Minion vs Minion Damage and Auto-Attack Disjoinment

Anyone feel like minions sometimes get nuked out of nowhere by your lane minions? Also, I can't list how many times I've fired an auto as a marksman, see and hear the impact noise only to have the creep die from creep damage when no creep autos are landing. I have an average 25-40 ping.
