I RQed a game earlier against a Garen as Ryze because every time he Qd, I Wd him in response but then he LUNGES at me and breaks free from the snare instantly. Is this a glitch, did Garen get a hidden buff, or is something wrong with Ryze W?
Cremepie1 votesHmmm maybe Garen silence cancels the ryze snare? Should test it on other snares. Also maybe the Q gives a hidden amount of units of gap closer but I imagine its not a huge amount. The way I see it you were just too close to him.

it does, and its like 20 to 50 units or something like that. they did it so garen isnt further away from his opponent after his q than he used to, with the increased auto attack range. because it would be slightly easier to get away from his spin.

Subtl31 votesThe ryze snare isn't a channel, so it can't be cancelled by silence. I snared him, he jumped towards me, which should be impossible for a snared opponent, and then silenced me and broke free from the snare that he already had on him.
