Just got Renekton in ARAM.

Most fun game of my day. Went super aggressive while building full tank. Eventually no one but MF could 1v1 me (I only had Sunfire for armor... And got hyped and built a Tiamat... Shoulda got Randuins). Was a complete blast.

I remember when I used to play Renekton in Summoner's Rift. Unfortunately, while the recent Fury changes were nice, he's fallen out of meta. His early aggression can't match someone like Sion's, or the sustain of Maokai, and generally isn't as powerful as it used to be. Anyone think the new Black Cleaver will help him out? How can we bring him back into SR viability?

Technically I feel he is still the "king" of top lane, the only problem is he falls off HARD now. Once he makes ONE mistake, you basically have to go full tank and hope your team can carry you.

I don't know. I haven't played Renekton in SR in a while, but I'll try today. I'll see if his early aggression is still good.

What sucks is Renekton is really bad at taking jungle camps, so he can't take Gromp or Krugs if he falls behind. Think the Smite/TP strategy may work on him?

I think he will get better with the new Black Cleaver as well. I think the update to Randuins may help as well but this is only with little now of him.
