All Them Smurfs (RANT)

Long time lurker but as the title suggests...ALL THEM SMURFS. I don't consider myself a cry baby but I'd like to rant for a moment if you'd allow me. I'm a current Silver 3 Player at 75 LP (just got demoted :P) with peak at Gold 5 Promos about a two weeks ago. What I've noticed is that in end of season, everyone is trying to reach Gold 5 from Silver 1/2 so they all are filled with Smurfs from high Gold to Diamond and it's really taking away from the game. Even when on my team, I don't feel accomplished when I get carried but feel even worse when the other team is carried despite doing my best. I've noticed the number of smurfs have increased exponentially in the past few days. Two weeks ago I'd meet one every 10-15 games but from the games I've been playing today and yesterday; almost every single game has at least one smurf. I'd love to hear what your thoughts are/stories/maybe ways to curb this horrible epidemic.
