Remake

I have a question. Remake is currently available in North America (the region I'm in). The current system only allows a vote if a player has been dc'ed 90 seconds by 3 minutes. In my most recent game, I had an afk player who wasn't disconnected so the system didn't prompt us for a vote. Our entire team wanted to try for a remake and from champ select chat, it was clear this player wasn't ever coming back. Is it worth a shot to ask for a loss prevention because the conditions for a remake and our situation are similar? We opened mid and trolled until they could take nexus although the score doesn't necessarily reflect it. They gave Teemo kills out of mercy ;) Food for thought, do you guys think Riot should try to check if a player hasn't bought any items or moved from fountain as an alternative to just checking if they are dc?
