I really thought I missed league

Tbh, I really thought I missed league. I stopped playing a couple weeks before the last season ended, played a few games during preseason, did placement games and stopped until a couple days ago. I started playing again and was having fun for the most part but then I get bullshit like this. In my first 2 promos games had people int in both games, not like they suck and kept dying, they literally kept running it down mid. There were a few other games that some things pissed me off and I am unsure if I want to keep playing. I really wanted to try to get diamond this season but tbh, I don't know if I can stand it. I am just mostly here to rant and blow off some steam. How do you guys handle losing streaks/inters/ragers and ect?

Losing streaks : I play my main , hoping the next game would be good. Inting/Flamers : Mute them or just simply /mute all will do it's job. Also report them at the end of the game. Ragers : well since i'm always thinking about helping the team, i'm telling them this is going to win, and try to calm them down, hoping it will work, in witch most cases it does.

First, there is just a level of toughness required to grind. Football players have coatches yelling and cussing all the time (despite it scientifically proven that hurts results) but they grind through it to make it to the top. With League you’ve got teammates making dumb calls and saying crap when they should know better. It’s just part of being competitive. Most people don’t enjoy that so their like me and are filthy casuals, but those who truely want to climb have to endure it.

Second, patience. If your on a losing streak, trying to force a win before stopping is more likely to hurt than help. If you lose two games in a row, you should call it a day for league and try to relax. Being tilted has huge effects on win/loss ratios and can affect you and your teams in many ways. And when you win, it’s important to be calm and enjoy yourself, because trying to grind out wins without savoring them is going to burn you out. Pacing yourself to climb consistently is more important than a giant sprint doomed to fizzle.

Third, win with confidence, not pessimism. Your team might be hot garbage, but if you grind their faces into that fact their either going to tilt or give up, making you lose either way. Making them feel confident, like saying your coming to smash the jerk who keeps killing them, or they’ve got a scaling champ (true or not) and just need to farm safely and you’ll help them do it safely is huge. Making them believe there’s hope will help them play better and enjoy themselves, both of which statistically increase your odds of winning dramatically.

That’s what I’ve gathered from lots of YouTube, twitch and personal experience. Hope that helps.

I think if you read over your post and think a little, you'll realize you didnt pinpoint a single issue with the game itself. What you have trouble with is the playerbase, and the community.

Use the mute function and hope for the best. That's all any of us can do.

i was actually just in a horrible (ranked) game...our twitch jg was salty from the start because we (me supp and adc) didn't leash....we were keeping the enemy Morg in the bush opposite red pit from stealing...sry twitch, we did come at the end for a hit or two before going to lane....anyway, i muted him....i wasn't upset at all for the entire game. I am never like that; i usually rage at stupidity (i just yell at my walls, i don't type in chat thankfully). I figured out what changed over the last few days. I stopped caring. I am shooting for gold this year and every time i get promoted to s3, i get streaks of feeders (like 6 deaths before 10m..they arent inting..just not playing safe). Anyway, I wonder if my not caring is a good thing and will allow me to just play more relaxed...OR does it mean it is time for me to just quit League. I have had about 4 major online games in the past...and I know there is always an end point. i wonder if this is my end for LoL. I'll admit, I have been playing fortnite on the side. And the new pirate game I just picked up.
