@Riot help me understand the bard.
As someone who legitimately enjoys support and have a piqued interest I'm having trouble understanding this champion.
Q- Good, with all the bully type champions it's a good addition and has good synergies with specific adcs, plus not too bad in a teamfight. W- I like it, I honestly like that a support can essentially set up these heals for allies in advance promoting better positioning. E- Honestly the best spell you've put into the game in a long time, escape mechanism/bait mechanism who knows til they wander in? So perfect on a support. I think this one is absolutely amazing for organized team play and can't wait to see some plays with it. R- Okay here's where I get a little iffy, in general I'm not a fan of spells that can harm your own team, but it being his ult and him being a support I don't mind it much, I think he'll be a more practiced champion by those that play him and it wont be as large an issue as it might be on an AP carry for example.
Here's what really gets me, his passive. I know people like to throw the word "toxic" around like candy but I'm not one of those people. In this case I feel like his passive is utterly toxic. I've been spectating high MMR games with him in them and he's being played mostly the same way he is in low MMR games. He has almost 0 presence for his team all in the name of those "chimes". I feel like it's a massive pressure on a more support oriented champion to roam. I actually think it'd be a GREAT mechanic on a jungler but why a support? From what I can tell his MO is "Fashionably late," even in higher MMR games I spectate he's generally there just in time to drop a spell or two after a fights outcome is already decided.
So why did you go this route with his passive? Like I said I think it's innovative and I really like the idea for a jungler, but as a support I feel like it's toxic not only to ones own team but to the people that want to play him. Why not make meeps based on healing shrines dropped or used? Why go with this admittedly innovative but IMO misplaced passive.
Overall I think this is a very cool design and organized support type champion that again makes me excited to have a new support, but at the same time I don't want to go near him because of his passive.
