People who say "why does x champion get y, when m champion gets n"

...Because they're different champions, and balanced around different things. Do you want every champion to have exactly the same kit?

Recent example: why can you flash out of skarner but not Darius?

My answer: because they are different champions, and different abilities, with different mechanics

I think a much more reasonable argument is that you shouldn't be able to flash away because skarner needs help, not simply because that's how Darius is. It's almost like saying "why is Caitlyn allowed to auto attack from farther than Vayne"

why does zed-A get to be resourceless with high ratios, while zed-B gets to have high mobility and burst, while on the other hand zed-C gets to have tons of sustained damage?

I do agree, but there does need to be some context. There are a lot of times where mechanics are compared and the arguments for a difference in the functionality of the mechanics doesn't make sense. For example, Riot has made Skarner's ult break when an enemy leaves a certain range or breaks vision, and the argument they used for it was that it gave counterplay to a displacement and ensured that flashes could not be blown for nothing. The problem is, that exact argument applies equally well to Darius. The design principle they made the decision on isn't being applied equally, and it leads to frustrating gameplay.

I think the question of "why does x champion get y, and m champion get y with z benefit, when z benefit was kept away from x champion for g reason that applies equally well to m champion" is a fair (if overvariabled) question.

Because Skarner's ult-after-flash was patched :p So no this is a bad example. Cuz this is unintentional and it's simply a bug what they'll fix with darius' hook as well most likely.
