LCS and "The Meta"

The meta is such a diverse topic with so many more champions, items, nerfs, and buffs, but the way the community reacts to the changes in the "meta" are just insane. The LCS is how most of us get updates on what champions to pick or what items are good, but deciding whether a champion is good or not cannot be judged on just the LCS. Victor has been showing up a lot lately and all I've been seeing is, "I main victor" or "Prefer Mid Victor". Some of these players are really good as X champion (in this case Victor), but some think that just because he is in the "meta" they can demolish the mid lane with him without having any knowledge or understanding of the champion. The LCS will definitely pick champions up that are strong in the current patch, but there are many other champions that are good that don't see play in the LCS.
