Being harassed for playing Aatrox

I don't get what's up with people. Like Aatrox is a pretty good champion....not disgustingly overpowered like some champions but he is decent. Just it will take some time to understand his kit, his combos, when to use it, get used to changes in each q cast, dash cd... I noticed that aatrox has an incredibly powerful early game/laning phase, and late game is a bit unknown...you need to change your play style late game.

So to my point almost every single game me and also others are getting harassed for playing aatrox...no reason. My mid laner can feed, my adc can be autofilled or learning his champion but loss is blamed always on aatrox because "he is a useless champion" people say...Or people just repeat what someone said. I literately had a duo on my team, jg and adc. The jungler never touched top, and the lanes he camped lost terribly...and loss was still blamed on me because I couldn't do anything in team fights against their fed opponents. They weren't trolling, they where being serious and told me to not play aatrox again haha. I played 8 aatrox games, 7 of which I got flamed for a reason or no reason, 6 of which I didn't get a single gank from team. And my champion got banned in champ select twice after declaring it. I don't get the community.
