Jungle XP Gated too low?

Genuinely want to know, not a rage post.

What is the reasoning behind gating jungle xp to the effect that junglers are consistently 1-2 levels behind laners? The disparity gets even worse if you fall behind, forcing you to chose between farming to catch up or risk feeding while attempting a gank vs a laner who has levels on you. Suddenly if enemy top lane gets 2 kills before you can gank, the lane is almost locked out without a high risk of one person dying during a gank.

Its particularly frustrating when playing on squishy junglers that are already prone to dying in a gank and on top of that to be a few lvls below the laner you intend to gank. Inevitably the jungler gets blamed for not ganking enough when the very reason is you don't is to avoid feeding a kill.

I think the reasoning was that a midlaner could routinely take wolves between waves, and wind up with a level advantage? I may be wrong, but the fact that camps give more exp if you're behind in levels (do they still do that? I swore I read that somewhere) would seem to support that, while putting junglers in the awkward position of randomly fluctuating between being behind and not.

They need to add back in the bonus XP from camps when your level is lower than the avg level.

I wish we could revert back to the jungle exactly a year ago. I don't know why Riot reworked the jungle again. S4 saw the most jungle diversity EVER. As a jungle main I was perfectly happy with the state of the jungle in S4. I'm pretty sure most other junglers were happy as well, I don't remember a single complaint from a pro jungler. Don't try to fix what isn't broke.

actually if you afk farm jungle you should not be a level behind laners

Because being ganked by someone at a higher level than you when you haven't missed any xp is bullshit and would force everyone to play even more passively than they already were this season.

I've been ahead of solo laners as a jungle who had very few if any successful ganks. You just need to clear the WHOLE jungle and maybe take the enemy's jungle camps while you see them around the map.

Was playing lee sin today and the buffs actually helped, I managed to keep up with solo laners( but then again this is lee sin).;

Zed got a kill in midlane? Dont bother ganking it, he will just get a free kill

MasterYi summoner 12 my thirst for exp is fullfilled.

On the side note, this doesn't come to my mind that much. However, I lost my buff once from a late steal that killed me and I instantly typed "GG lost jungle gonna be behind" since I consciously knew jungling is a dick to non-sustaining champions and still a burden to lifesteal champs.

As an example right now, C9 - YFW (no kills yet at 8 minutes) both junglers are 2 lvls behind their mid laners.

yeah season 5 was the death of junglers.

All your power has to be into level 2-6 ganks or you're just a worthless sack of shit right now basically.

If you're not one of those you might as well just not even bother jungling. Farmer is fruitless. Objective control is done better by the 2-6 ganking junglers. Gold gain is shit considering the long spawn times on the camps and the high damage you recieve and the low exp you recieve.

And its just overall less fun =]

It made me unistall league competitively for me. I still do some random shit in normals and still play my 1 ranked game a month but as for caring about progressing past diamond? nope. Ill just sit in diamond and not give a shit Sad fucking day to be a melee/tank these past few years.

ranged tops. Jungle nerfs. tank items nerfs.
