How to deal with rakan?

Okay I've been maining adc this season. Im currently gold 4. Yea i know nothing amazing but I really want tips on how to deal with this champ. Nothing I seem to do works. especially when he is partied up with a xayah. He has heals shields dashes knockups and taunts galore. I really have no idea how to deal with him. Xayah never really falls off b/c she has utility of her feathers so if theyre together. Its practically impossible to shut down bot lane. I could be 5 kills ahead an still die to that duo and I doubt I'd ever be that far ahead. with utility and an invulnerability on xayah. I literally have no idea how to play against that duo. But the biggest problem i face is rakan. Even when he is with random ADC's. I cant seem to do anything. Poke heavy lane. he just shields and heals all dmg. full engage. he has enough disengage to help out his adc. only thing i see slightly working is disengage and he still overcomes that. Any tips on defeating him would be great. He's also seen a ton of LCS play so it makes sense that i struggle with this dude so much. He just has a ton of utility.

well... hes one of the most broken supports for a reason so... not much you can do.

Treat rakan as a lulu with mobility. Beware of getting caught out and try to burn xayah ultimate with poke and maybe a few cc abilities. It really depends on your support pressuring the enemy from making a risky engage. Had one a few games ago, outscaled them as twitch and avoided fighting xayah in tight spaces in the late game.

unless you're playing Vayne Tristana or even a Lucian you won't be able to deal with him much without a somewhat decent support

Xayah and Raman is already a high pressure kill lane especially if Raman takes ignite early they can easily layer their CC.

First, avoid picking immobile carries like Ashe, Jinx etc. And start to pick up more mobile champions against him. If you didn’t have the chance to pick a mobile champion play safely and be mindful of his R W engage. Overall keeping your distance and staying safe is the only way you’ll get around the lane since the duo is a strong lane, so it’s better to just try to farm it out and play towards mid/late.

You don't have to fight them 2v2. I often see that duo get early cheese kills but then screw up and throw later.

If you engage them and they kite back it's heavily in their favour because of feathers stacking up behind you the deeper you go.

If you just play defensive, they have very limited options.

At any rate should you at some point have numbers advantage, you still have to play around the feathers. Try to flank around if you CC Xayah. Never chase Xayah on a narrow path when an engage wasn't effecive enough and she is kiting back. Xayah losing her ult or flash/heal is already good enough. Do not overcommit to kills and look for objectives instead.

You ban him.

You can't catch him cause 3 dashes.

You can't run away from him because 3 dashes and steroids.

You can't trade with him cause shield + delayed heal.

Just ban him.

ADCs dont counter supports early. Supports are supposed to give you problems especially when theyre hard engage/kill oriented. You have to have a good support to counter him and thats how it should be. Early game in the botlane is supposed to be a "Which support can enable their ADC to farm better"

There's a reason I haven't let him pass through ban phase once since 5 bans hit live. When you have someone with utility of Lulu and mobility of Lee Sin if they are strong your best shot at "counterplay" is hoping that they fuck up.

If you dont want to ban then you gotta do what lcs has been doing. Pick a late game ADC. Play back. Then hope you can turtle and scale
