So before I start making this post. I want to say I've been banned. No I don't want my ban repealed. I'm just going to play on other accounts. It doesnt bother me all that much. This post is about the whole suspension system riot's got going on. It literally makes no sense. We have mute buttons in game right? Yet instead of players pressing that one button b/c someone else on the team is upset. The upset person gets banned. The logic here is ridiculous. Youre telling me you have the option to mute somebody... but you don't and therefore the player who you chose not to mute gets banned? How fragile is the riot staff that they think this is ban worthy. You must never have played video games yourselves growing up b/c I've heard a lot worse stuff on CoD then I've ever heard on here lol. The best is when High diamond players get banned. Youre telling me youre going to ban people from the top 1% of your player base b/c the other highly skilled players there cant find their mute button? Thats logical riot hahaha. Get rid of your most dedicated players b/c people get their feelings hurt? This whole system just makes no sense. Who cares if people are a little toxic. Let them be angry. Theyre upset and venting. Other people being offended by it is the funny part. Instead all high elo players recommend you mute every body bc thats what we all want to play... a multiplayer game in silence. Now thats not the funniest part of this whole system. The funniest part is you have NO WAY of reporting someone for trolling. The person causing all the grief and anger. They walk away no problem. We cant report someone for trolling in champ select. We can't report it after. The only thing riot bans for is either afk/int/language? But not trolling. Seriously in all honestly their needs to be a better system than this. Also when you send chat logs with people. Send the other people talking too. Don't just send the single players like youre oblivious to the other players right? Also an account suspension for being toxic with language makes no sense. Just perma ban the people from talking in game. They can still play the game and its like everyone has them permanently muted. We have pings right? Much better solution than losing out on the money of the player for 14 days or forever. Also I find it funny that your account can be banned but you can still access the store to buy stuff lmfao. Just in case you want to buy stuff on your banned account lol. Riot sure is funny. Now that I've got that out the way. I've got to show my chat logs below for what i've been banned. Two of which are completely undeserved and two games had... Guess what... A troll. They won't get banned though. Check them out below. It's certainly humorous.

This is THE ONLY one in the list here that is ban worthy. I got autofilled to top lane which i havent played in months. I'm fine with that. My jungle will help.... Wait I'm getting a troll gankplank jg. Who refuses to switch and proceeds to feed. I'm not competent in this lane at all. I don't know the matchups. I don't know the champ I'm playing with nothing and I even said I should have dodged. I informed my team of this. The language was vulgar but this game tilted me more than any in a long time. I was absolutely useless to my team b/c I had no idea how to hold lane or play from behind with this champ. I know the game doesn't make up for the language here so that's why I accept this part of the ban. It was however all directed at gangplank. My teammates even apologized in after game chat for reporting me when i explained to them that I was sorry that I got so tilted. I said I was useless and it sucks that i cant be of any benefit to the team and instead the troll and I get reported b/c I'm stuck in a role I'm no good at with no help b/c the troll is the jg. They said that makes sense and they shouldnt have reported me... Well two of them did. Vlad had already left. The troll obviously nothing happened to b/c riot is going to check the chat log and see gp said nothing and be like welp... he did nothing wrong. Let him go free. Either way like i said. I accept this one. This game our entire team was angry with kayle and he refused to help. Our entire team was yelling at him including the Riven who was an IRL friend of his. He literally trolled. I don't know if I can look at the rest of the chat logs. He also flamed us in the harshest ways possible. If he didnt get a ban in return. the system is seriously messed up. Go back and look at this one or tell me how to post it. Also I'm going to add that nothing i said here was bad. The only person we were all... as a team... were mad at was kayle. Funny that I'm getting a ban for it just like the one above where we had a troll. I'm pretty sure the only person who reported me here was Kayle the troll himself lmfao.

This one does not deserve a report at all? I literally used a handful of profanity and said nothing offensive? I'm extremely confused by this one. I talked about the game and what happened the whole time so this makes no sense.

Like I said at the start. I don't want my ban removed. I'm just going to play on other accounts. All I'm saying is riot. Fix your stupid system.

what do you think of Leagues "harassment" policy? A player on your team making a "stupid" mistake at 40 min, causing you to lose game, wasting 40 min for 4 other people. why does riot take the side of the person who lost the game for his team? what are your thoughts on the language used in Games?

Everyone makes mistakes. Faker makes mistakes. Sometimes.

I don't feel that justifies giving someone a lot of shit. If they are truly being careless or taking dumb risks, I would point that out in the interest of helping them to get better, but err on the side of being conservative here. In my experience, players tend to think innocent mistakes are not innocent, or think that accidents could have trivially been prevented. I think we all expect more forgiveness as players than we are willing to give out to others.

There is no excuse to harass anyone in League, period. Nothing someone can do in a game can justify you trying to use verbal (or spoken if they can hear you) language so harsh. There is a reason nearly every sport in the world adopts some kind of sportsmanship mentality.

The advice I frequently give players is to pretend that other player is a student in your class or a coworker at school. When you're face to face, you're unlikely to unload on someone who you are going to frequently see or work with again. Why should it be any different online? If your answer is because you'll never have to see them again, then you're kind of arguing that you're only ever respectful to people for pretty selfish reasons rather than because it's the human thing to do.

If you just move to a new account and don't learn from this suspension, you're just going to keep losing accounts. It's really easy to be a little kinder to people, and it's not going to feel good to keep losing all your time, effort, and possibly money invested into these accounts; it's good for everyone if we take this time to discuss your punishment and make an effort to improve.

The issue isn't with being upset. The issue is HOW you handle yourself when you're upset.

You need to work on not flaming others when you're upset. You need to learn better coping mechanisms that are pro social.

All in all what im trying to say is we need to remove the whole ban and chat restriction people. removing people from the game or chat restricting them is ridiculous. We have a mute button. Normal logic: Player flaming. Mute them. Riot Logic: Player flaming. Chat restrict them or ban them from game. Like what the hell is the mute button even for then?

The existence of the mute button does not excuse the unacceptable behavior of other players. The mute button acts somewhat like a shield. It allows us to protect ourselves from an attack, but that still doesn't make it acceptable for the other person to attack us in the first place.

The mute button is there to protect ourselves from the attack at that moment. The report button is there so that future players don't have to worry about protecting themselves in the first place.

Also, as far as refunds go, Riot is under no legal or moral obligation to refund any money spent on a permanently banned account. We all signed the ToU, which states that no of us actually own the accounts or anything on them, Riot does. They are simply giving us permission to use the accounts, but they have every right to revoke our ability to use them if we violate the ToU agreement.

Now you may not think this is good even from a business standpoint, but it actually is. You see, even if troublesome players spend money on the game, other customers are more likely to have an unpleasureable experience with these players, which increases the chance them leaving. However, if Riot were to ban these troublesome players, then the customers they would have driven away are more likely to have a pleasureable experience, thus increasing the chance they will stay and spend more money on the game. Riot actually stands to gain more money from the other customers the troublesome players would have driven away than the troublesome players themselves.
