we have 2015 and people still waste bans for zed

Think about katarina vs zed. Katarina q is a point click. Her w is also a point click, with less of a cd and farther range. And katarina team is soooo much better, zeds q is a skill shot, his w is to kinda, is team fight isn't great that's why he split pushes.

He's the only assassin outside of LeBlanc who is seeing LCS play right now. He might not be broken but he's hardly outclassed.

And to be honest there's more to bans than just people being too strong. Maybe people actually want to play standard mages in mid lane and don't want to be bullied out of lane (i.e. they want to have fun), for instance.

people will ban them because they dont know how to play against them, because they keep getting banned and rito will nuke them because people cry too much instead of use their brain

Actually, given the chance to counterpick a Zed in lane I always use Shen. I had a game earlier today where our support screamed at me "Don't play Shen mid WTF?!". I procceded to shit all over the Zed in lane and even when he tried to roam I just ulted his target to follow him. Oh and what did I do when he ulted me? Zhonyas is so broken on Shen against Zed. People seem to forget where Zed is an AD ninja assassin, Shen is his polar opposite, an AP ninja TANK.

He is banned because in lower elo's (Bronze-Gold), he is a safe, Non-resource champ that even if loses lane, all he has to do is find 1 teamfight, Hit R + QWEQWEQWEQWEQWEQWE (Basically bashing face on keyboard), and he can walk away with a kill.

No one can dive a tower better than Zed or LB for a kill. LB is SEVERELY more skill capped. I ban Zed and annie almost automatic while waltzing through bronze and silver. Not because the champ itself is OP, but because in lower elo's, people freak out and lose focus when zed ults on them, or they don't pay attention when annie has her stun up.

on a champion with a strong laning phase, tons of snowball potential, decent waveclear, powerful objective control, and pick potential?

so what would you consider a non-wasted ban if you don't think those qualities are worth banning out?

zed kat are the only good assassins right now assassins in general are in a pretty bad spot right now

kassadin fizz got minireworked into something else akali got gutted talon can never be allowed to be good

here in bronze5 people still are banning

meanwhile zed gets to run wild every single game.

They're banning him so their own team doesn't pick him.
