Please change summoner Heal casting behavior to match all other spells

Can we please update heal so that if you try to cast it on someone else, but they are not in range, it does NOT automatically cast on yourself? I'm not a pro player by any means but is there something extra special about this one spell that means that making the player press the ALT key when he wants to cast it on himself is just too onerous? I'm always wasting my heal.

it targets you anyways.

it behaves like an aoe.. i could be wrong but i do not think you can even "target" someone with it. but then again if you do it would still be the same effect,

Restores 90-345 Health (depending on champion level) and grants 30% Movement Speed for 1 second to you and target allied champion. This healing is halved for units recently affected by Summoner Heal.

you could very well be right by that wording. I assumed aoe because most people I see usually just pop heal and it just heals whoever is closest, but this makes much more sense now. .

Heal is a 'non-targeted' Summoner spell. This spell instantly restores a portion of health for your champion and for one other allied champion following a priority order:

Heal prioritizes the allied champion closest to the cursor at the time the ability is cast. If no allied champions are near the cursor, Heal will target the most wounded allied champion in range.

Thanks everyone. I'm totally aware of the mechanics. I'm saying the mechanics aren't good. When I try to heal a teammate, I want to heal that teammate.
