Please Show Us Which Order Drakes Will Spawn In During Champ Select Next Season.

NOTE: please read the dragon changes next season if you have not already.

These dragon changes will give far more substantial buffs to some champions over others (e.g. wind drake for Hecarim, Ocean drake for Rengar). It would just feel awful if I was in my ranked series and I lost game 5 because the enemy team happened to select a team comp better suited to exploit the 3rd drake buff of the game. If you give me the ability to draft around this in champ select, at least I will know I could have done something.

Also, it feels kind of strange to me that if the enemy team has a Hecarim, and wind drake spawns 3rd, that I will be more inclined to protect it from being taken as opposed to seeking it out for myself like usual. It's like I'm being denied the third drake and elder drake because I don't want to buff the enemy team.

I agree with either this or adding some potential way for a team to influence the final terrain change. Champions interact with terrain in unique ways and certain team comps value certain terrain higher than others.

Please don't leave it to a dice roll. Give agency.

If we get to see which drakes will spawn, you will be able to take champs which are good with those drakes and/or build a comp around it. At that point it just boils down to who gets to pick a champ thats good with certain drakes. As you said, ocean drake is good for rengar. So what to do if the enemy team gets to pick him before your team? It would only make the game more coinflip-y

I hate the change, the concept is cool but it gives way too much power to the team that has it.

If Riot wants RNG to make each game feel different, that is understandable, to an extent. However, I see absolutely no reason why the players on each team should not know which dragons will spawn if that is their goal. The games still will feel different, but the players will have a chance to know how to play around it beforehand.

This will even add another dimension to pro play and will make it more interesting.

Overall, I see literally no downside to this. Please add this.

gotta love the rng for normal league now*[slayer-jinx-wink]*

Knowing the drakes could bring a whole new level to champ select. Would be especially dope in proplay with like specific combs for specific drake orders.

Gotta love how they change the game, by adding stuff that is a nightmare to balance. Just like the "new" runes (that didn't really accomplish anything else than screwing the game up) and changing the jungle so only strong duelists with good AoE can shine.

please god no, I don't need low elo teams thinking they're kkoma and trying to draft the perfect team to take advantage of a drake. needless information.

Alevity Xiaku10/21/2019, 3:36:37 PM4 votes

I don't need people dodging champ select constantly because they're little bitches who can't play around the situation of the game. Who cares if a champion has an advantage due to drakes? It's as relevant as their advantage due to the team comp. If you blame a loss on what drake spawns then you don't deserve to climb lol

I think you're dramatically overestimating the impact this is going to have on the game.

The Dreamwalker10/21/2019, 1:45:11 AM3 votes

I can see why people may want this, but I personally disagree with this. If people know the rotation of drakes, then games are going to be built around this, and I don't really like the idea of that because if one team is able to pick the "better" champs before your team, then they get more benefits from the drake whereas your does not. Also, it would be more interesting to see how people play around it during the game instead of beforehand.

Mimr10/21/2019, 9:42:39 PM2 votes

No, that would make picks and bans way too predictable. Also ppl would dodge if they see a drake line-up they don't like. I like that you'll have to adapt to what happens on the map, it'll be a nice twist to the old formula.

LightswornLance10/21/2019, 11:04:56 AM2 votes

I think even in the current state of the game this would be helpful. Imagine picking a scaling bot lane or jungler but the first three dragons are infernals. It kinda just sucks.

GilxeN10/21/2019, 1:04:35 PM2 votes

This whole dragon change clown fiesta will bring even a smaller champions pool for high damage meta. What the actual TEEMO their balance team thinks about?

Dingding12310/21/2019, 2:04:34 PM2 votes

Imagine someone dodging at the last second because they don't want to deal with X drake first or fourth.

But literally every queue.

TwitchInMyPants10/21/2019, 6:50:25 PM2 votes

You're basically asking for an excuse for everyone to dodge

If you like spending an hour to get into one lobby this is a good idea but otherwise...

ShadowGlaive21310/21/2019, 9:35:17 PM2 votes

I feel like this would result in a lot more dodges. If players see they have an unfavorable drake line up for their picks or a favorable line up for the other team they can dodge at least once in hopes of getting a better roll, which adds to queue times given that each player can do it.

LatetotheRace10/21/2019, 6:17:23 PM1 votes

I want the original gold drake back, but if they force such a stupid change to the dragons, I think the ability to plan with it may be acceptable.

The fun part is that you can't kmow in advance which drake will be the third and its effects kick in as soon as you kill the 2nd Drake, so yeah you can't even protect it from being taken.

I hope they put in champ select just the Dominant drake, don't need the order of the first 2 drakes tbh

Dangerous Man10/21/2019, 4:12:26 PM1 votes

It should always show you the dominant dragon and dragon soul yeah. Because if we're gonna have an infernal soul it might be good to have Orianna, where an Ocean soul would be better for a poke comp.

Snowbrand10/21/2019, 4:13:23 PM1 votes

I think most people overestimate the drake buffs... Just a few more bushes won't magically make rengar a broken champ. That's just bs and Cloud drake got changed so it's actually worse (I guess at least) for hecarim at least, then before.
