Is Shaco in a good spot atm?

He is one of few pure assasins in the game; I don't see him often.

You don't want to see him often it makes me cry when he is in my jungle 24/7. He would be good if this was I believe season 3ish shaco would be played so much he would have to be nerf because back then getting counter jungled set you like 2-3 levels behind because buffs had so much xp in them.

Riot has basically said that when Shaco's current kit is good, it's because he shits all over your earlygame to the point where you can't wait for him to start being shit after 35+ minutes.

So no. He's being deliberately kept fairly weak.

he is very good, but requires skill to be used correctly. he can steal your opponent's jungle and kill him non stop, he also has very powerful ganks and can start without a leash

hes at a good enough spot that if you take the time to learn him he is pretty good but he is also kept in like some sort of weird limbo state where they dont buff him or nerf him really until he gets a minor maybe major rework

Do you think that some of his mana costs could be a little bit lower - he goes oom super fast in lane.

He's on the weaker side, but he's still very much usable and can smash a game.

As a Shaco main, he has an AMAZING early game. Around 30 min he falls off in teamfights and can be crushed by bruisers, but I just splitpish and find squishies who happen to run around alone to assassinate. He is incredibly fun, but requires a few games to learn him properly.

I'd love to see how you build him. He's fun to play but I find him difficult. Any tips appreciated.

Imo, Shaco is one of the easiest junglers to learn, he is the only jungler i really enjoy playing.

You can take first camp by yourself, have one of the easiest ways to gank a lane and he can take dragons by himself with the ult.

On the other hand, I've been against Shaco a few times, and none of them have been very fun as he pops up and instakills a carry from stealth in less than a second
