NO!!! DFG was HORRIBLE for the game yes AP items suck but thats only because the lack of options to allow us to build properly
damage wise yes we are significantly lower than AD classes but again that is due to the interation with

giving ADC's burst
as well as items designed to keep ADC's alive making them unkillable.

It's the ITEMS and the keystones (now runes) that are an issue.
these were the mains issue that damage creep. very little of it was actual damage and ratio changes (although to some extent that was there too)
we do dont need "offenesive items" thats ALL we DO have.
what we DON'T have is any way to deal damage but STILL SURVIVE, vs the ever-growing AD threat

Being alive is something that should go with our skill cap, not something every person can do. Ofc the winrate will be stable if the player is almost always likely to live. Balancing around this survivability will make the champ useless if they feed, and will remove any skill expression possible with the champ as living is part of skill cap. Part of getting caught by bushes should not mean the player could live. By making it possible to live, the champs skill cap is significantly reduced.
As result, the game becomes a game whether or not you can pick the best meta champs or not. If you can build according to what is meta. You can longer pick a champ you like because the champ is designed so that he/she is not supposed to be viable if the meta does not suit it.
So yeah, Riot ruined their own game.
