Items that give mana should also give fury and energy

I was just thinking why the items in this game don't give the stat based on the champion.

Like for instance Frozen Heart should give additional Energy for Energy Based champions like lee sin for instance. this way they would get tons of armor and cdr with the extra energy so that the mana wouldn't go to waste and instead of being a bad item for lee sin it would be a good item for him.

the same goes for energy reneration and fury. Champions like Shyvana and Renekton would benefit from a Frozen Heart that gave fury or fury regeneration. and mana regen items can also benefit champions like kennen who build ap items but are energy based champions who would get energy reneration instead of mana regeneration.

why hasn't this be done is what i really want to know. and don't say "because manaless champions are already OP and this would just make them more OP since they will spam even more with more cdr" because that is not a good excuse.

Because Energy and Fury aren't Mana, don't do the same thing as Mana, shouldn't be treated the same as Mana, and there's absolutely no need for this in any capacity.

Energy has an incredibly high regeneration rate compared to mana, but a smaller pool to limit skill spamming. Adding to the pool would further increase energy based champions' advantage over mana champs.

Fury on the other hand doesn't regenerate as fast as Energy, but typically requires a full bar to activate a character's skill. If you added Fury, you'd just be increasing the time before Shyvana is able to use her ultimate since more Fury would have to generate.

Not having a mana pool is a pretty good perk. The last thing you'd want is Riot to change the game so you have to itemize around it - like very mage does.

Also, because all the non mana champions are balanced around their resource. Giving energy champions the ability to increase max energy/energy regen would be horrible, and doing that for fury would either gimp you (I'm sure Shyvana loves needing 400 extra fury to use her ult!) or completely break them (I'm sure Rek'Sai loves her E, which scales up by 1% for every fury she has, to now have 400+ fury to work off!).

The balance Riot is aiming for is this: Mana regenerates slower, but the pool is larger and the costs are smaller. You are more likely to run oom in lane, but you will probably not 100-0 your mana pool in a team fight.

Energy has a higher regen rate, higher costs, and a smaller pool. Sustaining it in lane is not a problem, but you likely will 100-0 it in a team fight.

Pretty much bull shit. With good management, most energy champs won't run ooe, and still have tons of regen. But a lot of mana-based champs (like Graves or sometimes Orianna) do in fact 100-0 their mana pool in team fights, or else, they aren't allowed to do damage.

Might be an exaggeration on the state of things. I haven't run the numbers. But that's the gist of it.
