Can someone tell me how to carry

Hello!

To start off, I started league as a support main, and while a do enjoy support, it's generally hard to carry as a support when you're in a low elo so I've been trying to shift to other positions, mid, jg and adc. I'm a horrid adc so I've generally stayed away from it.

I try mid/jg. While I'm decent at it, I still have many issues carrying partly due to my weak mechanics and also because I have it in the back of my head to get someone else fed and they'll carry me instead of me having to carry

About 9/10 of the games I have to carry I lose because I literally have no clue how to carry my games.

Any tips? All help is appreciated :D

Try going a hyper carry in the jg, someone with a weak early game but decent jungle clear so you don't have to fight a lane opponent, I have been going 6/1 in my placements so far as KogMaw with item 3931 . If you want some pointers on my off meta jg, ask. (No need for item 3124 ) Here is my match history : http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/208103146?champion=96&matchType=2

I recommend you pick a mid game champion to carry with that isn't team dependent and isn't in the jungle. I would honestly stay away from the jungle and pick a champion who can deal isn't just a burst damage dealer as the lower tiers as you'll need to be able to kill ~3 players yourself to make up from the lack of skills that others have.

To give you an example -- Kayle was my champion of champion of choice when getting out of bronze for other accounts. Very easy to play mechanically, you farm early while harassing some and once you hit your nashor's and guinsoo you don't care whose on the other team -- they die. With the proper mastery you shred tanks and if an assassin comes your way you just shield yourself. Never shield anyone else unless you can just use them to soak up damage. I never had an issue going 1 vs 3 and killing all 3 from 100% myself in bronze.

Don't go for the fancy plays go for the simple champions that will wipe the floor with people who have no skill - and abuse that. if you want another recommendation annie is a good one. You insta burst someone and then your Q CD is short enough and tibbers will actually rape people when you're ahead (pedobear here you come).

I still have many issues carrying partly due to my weak mechanics

Well that has many implications.

Carrying is not about out mechanic-ing your opponent(s) and getting all the kills, it's about learning how to turn a snowball into objectives into a bigger snowball and so on.

Think about it like this: It is very hard to carry with Nunu unless you're a very smart and crafty AP Nunu main if we're talking strictly about getting kills. However, Nunu has a few rather significant tools if you think about him from an objective standpoint. His Q is one of the most fantastic single target skills in the Jungle, making him one of the best champions in regards to dealing with Epic Monsters. His W grants pretty solid %s for ADCs to utilize, which helps them clear objectives for you or keeps them alive longer. His Ultimate is a titanic zoning tool and a pretty universal red light for the enemy team, meaning that if he stands between an objective and the enemy team, he can effectively shut them out of something extremely important. You can carry hard as hell with a Nunu without ever getting any kills simply by rushing CDR to abuse the powerful base effects of his abilities, and enough tankiness so that he can comfortably zone the enemy team without putting himself at risk.

Every champion has some tool that grants them a win condition. Nunu, as I described, has 3 win conditions of Epic Monster Control, Supporting the Damage Carry, and zoning enemy teams. If you can learn to recognize these win conditions and play to your champions strengths within those win conditions, you will learn how to carry hard.
