so ive played vlad for a long time, before and after his rework and i just wanted to get a few of my thoughts and opinions out there. the first thing i wanted to bring up was his Q ability and how it only seems to be useful 1 out of every 3 times you cast it. personally i dont really like this feature for a few reasons the most apparent being is if a fight starts right after you've just used your empowered Q you then have to go through 2 seemingly useless Q's before you get one that does any kind of damage or gives you any sustain, i mean no other champ in the game has such a hindrance built into there kit as far as im aware and on top of that you only get the empowered Q for a few seconds before it goes away and the entire time the enemies can clearly see when you have it up and when you dont making it even harder to land said empowered Q because the enemy usually just walks away for a few seconds and then goes all in on you knowing you wont have it up again for a long period of time once it goes away. personally i dont really see what was wrong with the old vlad Q where every time you cast it it just gave you an ok amount of damage and sustain as apposed to now were two Q's do nothing and 1 Q does a large amount of both. the only reason i could think of for this change would be to add more counter play to his kit but at the same time they reworked his E ability making it a charge up and it can also be blocked by minions, i feel his entire kit has so much counter play built into it now that you cant really 1v1 any champ in lane. your kit is so predictable because it clearly shows when your going to use any of your abilities before you've even used them. personally i can live with the entire rest of his kit but i feel like the Q change was just a bit to much and it just makes it even more unnecessarily difficult to do anything in lane than it should. i guess over all i just strongly feel like vlad should have his old Q brought back, i dont really feel like this would make him any stronger than he is now so much as just make his already hard early laning phase a bit easier and make his team fights less of a coin flip on if he has his empowered Q up or not. thats really all i wanted to say on this particular topic and its just my opinion so i understand some people are not going to like the idea or maybe even prefer the newer Q i just thought it would make things a bit easier so thats why i brought it up but feel free anyone to tell me why you may prefer the new or old Q or even if you may have a better idea all together for any changes that could improve his kit i would be interested in hearing them but until then thanks for reading and i hope you have a nice day :)

It gives plenty of sustain and damage, it is a point and click ability that heals you, they can't make the first two Qs god like then even better one.

I don't think you are taking the concept of power budget into effect. It is a low CD point and click ability that does a decent amount of damage unempowered as well as heals you.

Which is why you are supposed to use your 2nd Q when you can ensure your third, OR use it on a minion so it doesn't go to waste.

I see no problem with adding counterplay

Would make his early game stronger, but late game weaker.
