Balancing Concerns...

It's becoming increasingly obvious in my opinion that Riot is no longer interested in balancing the game, but instead is hand picking which Champions the deem to be "Meta" and then occasionally changing the meta when things start to get stale. Take Ornn for example... hes been extremely strong for quite some time, but since hes a new-ish Champion and obviously one of Riot's favorites he isn't receiving many changes (or changes to the correct parts of his kit) to tone down his game play even though the community has been frequently telling them hes a bit over-tuned (I'm being generous with that comment). Now I understand it's their game, so they can do w/e the heck they want with it, but why even have a balancing team if you don't want to actually attempt to balance the game? Is it just for the image? I'm interested in what the community thinks about this situation and if Riot is actually trying to balance their game or just playing favorites and switching it up from time to time when things get a bit stale!

ornn isnt a good example, try miss fortune or vayne or ya know any adc because anything else gets good, they nerf it oh its a adc thats broken? better wait till next season to even touch them

these are also great examples you're right, but personally i feel it took them entirely to long to make any changes to Ornn and they didn't even change enough

the thing is riot could balance this game in a couple months. they keep changing the numbers and meta to make the game feel different

Bruh, Ornn just got nerfed, patch 7.24

Bellows Breath Target's maximum health ratio reduced to 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 / 18% of the target's maximum health from 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20%. Cooldown increased to 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 seconds from 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8.

And he was that strong because he was initially weak on release since nobody knew how to use him.

Take your conspiracy theory somewhere else. Or at least provide better evidence.

is Ornn not still Pick/Ban tier? cuz I'm pretty sure he is! Those nerfs were pretty minor and didn't address the main issues with him... such as how low his mana costs are which allow him to constantly use skills, the frequency oh him being able to shop in lane (maybe put a CD on it like in Aram), The amount of Time brittle increased people to be CC'd for (often over looked but extremely potent). Also Double knock ups are extremely risky to put in Kits... the one CC that tenacity cannot effect, and you give him two of them...

Also for the Record Zoe is also a good example... it's obvious she's entirely too strong, and they are taking their sweet time to change her for some reason. That sleep/drowzy shannagin is quite silly.
