Nautilus is great fun, but it seems i deal 0 dmg with him?

i was 7/2 and the enemy orianna was 0/4 and i had iceborn gauntlet (and some mr) and i landed every skill on her, but we couldnt kill each other. i was way too tanky and she had her shield up like every 5 sec, i wasnt able to get her shield down. am i doing something wrong? is usually the only "damage" item i go. any tipps?

even other champs with no shields are just not killable to me. sure i go fulltank but at least some dmg? i mean cmon. look at malphite.

That's why I only naut support I can go a match with 0 kills and be happy...then again I've never really TRYED to do anything else with him

You're not doing anything wrong, Naut is known as the champ that will lock someone down for 10 seconds, and then let them walk away. if you want to do some sort of damage an Abyssal Scepter should help but in general naut doesn't deal or take damage.

its hard to get any ap items because i like to get so much armor and resistances, that they are busy getting my shield down (which scales with hp) also besides getting iceborn its hard to get anything else. rylais seems nice, but then i already have slows.

I wouldn't recommend rylais because of the amount of cc he already has, iceborn also isn't super necessary so you could probably trade it out for a frozen heart and get item 3151 item 3157 item 3001 depending on what sort of tank you want, I've never tried it but the shield on arch staff does also seem like it could be helpful.

Arch Staff is nice as well... it helps with mana resource and once you have it maxed out, then you get a mana shield to help with tankiness.

Nautilus has cc on 3 abilities and his passive He doesn't need to deal damage when he holds down enemies so his team can kill them for him.

Although if you actually build AP items you can deal damage with Naut.

Boots of choice > item 3027 item 3068 item 3001 Idk why but i enjoy item 3151 last item armor or mr based on what you need. You arent the tankiest thing out there but you can take some punches and throw some back :)

You don't pick Nautilus for damage.

You can build him AP though, his burst is crazy. Nothing is funnier than Rengaring a Rengar

Rush item 3068 or item 1401 , max riptide, you will be fine early in the game. Actually if you play topnaut your damage is enough to bully the heck out of most enemies.
