im serious about this: please remove my ribbon!

i got it 4 days ago and i swear i never got flamed that much in my entire time playing lol. seriously every time i make a mistake "great teamplayer ribbon eh? not deserved your trash" its not even that i care it was funny at the beginning but now it starts to annoy me. either remove it or give me an option to hide it it really starts to piss me off that everyone thinks i have to be a god player who never makes a mistake because i got a ribbon.

ps: i know this will get a ton of downvotes because 99% here dont know what im going through right now and never will know :/ but thats ok lol

The problem isn't the ribbon, but rather the rarity cause nobody honors people unless they go 50/0/50 so if you actually got it by being genuinely helpful and working as a team, people are confused, since they only honor people that go 50/0/50.. Like literally that's the only time I'm ever honored is if My KDA is over 5

Do you have a gold, plat, diamond, or challenger load-screen border?

I'm guessing not, because people rage about those if you don't carry AFKs and griefers hard enough. You don't even have to make a mistake.

BTW, you might be being too hard on yourself. Some of what you think are mistakes might just be jealous, obnoxious players trying to bring you down to their level.

You can request content be removed from your account through a Support Ticket, so I imagine they can probably remove ribbons too.

Dude, don't request for your ribbon to removed because of people picking on you. They will still continue to pick on you after it's gone, they'll just find a different thing about you to target (your score, champ you're playing, elo, etc.). They just use the ribbon because it stands out or they're jealous that you actually have one (heck even I'm a bit jealous, I've seen more master+ players in the last two seasons than I have seen players with a ribbon).

I've had the same problem, people making fun of my name whenever I make a bad play, or do poorly. "Smart Kitty, yeah right" "Remember this is a Smart Kitty!" but I like my name, and I'm not going to change it because people want to be mean and salty. They'd still be salty to me if I changed it anyways, they'd just find some other terrible joke to make.

People don't get it that Teamplayer =/= skilled player

And then there's me sitting here with 596 teamwork badges wondering how I even get a ribbon in the first place lol

I was in the same spot as you...almost everytime I had a bad game, at least 1 teammate started to flame me, saying that people honored me for nothing, that I dont deserve the ribbon...I even got some comments like "hope you die/ hope you beloved ones die soon" and I was like "daamn that escaladed quickly". I am not such a good player, but I try to make good calls, to help my teammates as much as I can, I am friendly....that's why I got some ribbons(the yellow one and the green one), but some people think once you got a ribbon, you should go 20/0/20 every game and carry them or something like this xD and if you have a bad game or the enemy is just better, they ask others to report you. Seems legit xD
