I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this.
Aatrox went from a rather basic kit to an undoubtedly more complex one. (Yes yes I see you typing AatroxFan58 who will insist that old Aatrox had a godlike amount of depth I did not see) Once again, we're gonna be in a situation where Aatrox will get hotfixed, then people learn how to actually play him and finally the nerf cries.
The hypocrisy is irritating, to say the least.

People literally have no faith in game designers and think they know better and look at Kai'Sa now....
Riot themselves admitted that they purposely overbuff new champions to see them get play.
I doubt they give 2 shits about the boards, they were more likely listening to Hashinshin's non stop rant, he didn't stop calling Aatrox beyond garbage for his whole stream, even after the hotfix.
This is exactly what happened with Kai'Sa people didn't understand her kit so they called for buffs day one, when riot did so and then people learned how to play her she became pick or ban for a little bit. Instead of learning a champ they just call it weak or unplayable and demand buffs.

i dont think the complaints are about aatrox being weak or in need of buffs.
its more like his new kit doesnt really function well.
i like the idea of making him a juggernaut, but the distance change on his q is really shitty to work with.
I really doubt boards had any influence over that hotfix but honestly he needed buffs just not straight numbers, more like Urgot and Swain treatment to make him smoother to play.
