Ok so one common thing people hate with Lulu or Soraka is their click on BrokeBack Shield/heal simply because its too easy to do and with redemption/locket it got worse so i wanted to talk about 2 champs there riot did both shield and healing in a healthy way.

Luxs shield was very well made in the way that you dont just fling it and get a massive shield or click on a champ and there you go. Granted there are ways to get a bigger shield IF it Hits you twice. It actually has to hit something alot of other champs in league lacks yeah im looking at you karma , Janna and Lulu in particular.

Bard got his packages that charges up and doesnt instaheal your adc or other champs up 30% of their health. Like Sister soraka or even Sona does. It gives you a nice little moment speed but it doesnt help your adc in every way they want

These 2 champs are good examples of what i feel riot should look to more when they create support champions or items with heals or shields. Its not . press your Ability/active and everyone stays alive its ah i gotta think for a sec then you press the item and it should be rewarding if you do it right and it shouldnt be so uber massive that nobody can kill you.

I could prob mention some other champs with a healthy heal/shield but those that stands out are that duo in a way that none of the abilities are you are alive no matter what or u just heal all your hp cause a click. Your opponent has a window of opportunity or a way to counteract them both. In lux case burst her faster down and she doesnt get that second proc or hit on her shield while in bards case you gotta charge it up before the champ get any strong heal on them and your opponent can step on the packages or altars to remove them. Bards heal when its charged up isnt even like unhealthy strong either its just a nice heal.

One can always hope that if or when riot makes a new support with either shield or heal they will think about these things and realise why its better for the game

I can't tell you how many times I've thrown a Lux W at my team, and one of them flashes it.

As a level 7 Lux, I feel like people try to dodge my W on purpose most of the time even if I run towards them

Thats your teammates fault not the skill. Kinda like with old Yorick when you ulted your teammates and they died and ran away cause they thought you resurrected them then they realised that it didnt work like that

Lux's shield isn't actually healthier than targeted shields because there is no enemy interaction.

But it is weaker per ally so it doesn't cause as much frustration, and it has lower impact in most scenarios.

I think they should just shift power away from shields on enchanters. Too much impact for skills that have 0 enemy interaction.

Ok but would you rather have a lux ish lulu shield or regular Lulu shield ?

Don't really care as long as they nerf Lulu's shield values and buff her somewhere else like ... actually her whole kit is cancer so idk.

I dunno man. I don't usually max Bard's W till last. It's kinda sensible in lane, but outside of lane the way it works isn't particularly good.

You have to be able to disengage to a planned point to really consistently make use of the full powered heals, and plan that way too far in advance. People typically die too quickly for the shrines to be used.

Mid-late game, I really mostly use his W as a pseudo skillshot Zilean E for my teammates to boost them around with the movespeed buff. A less good one, but still.

It's not an overall bad thing looking at the full kit, Bard's got plenty of cool stuff going on with Q, R and his passive. E sometimes too. But I dunno if he's a good example of letting healers have something to do in a teamfight.
