Pls keep Skarners personality and story if he ever gets changed.

Since i know league of legends is evolving and so are the champions stories and kit for better or worse i have a feeling Skarner will be on that plate eventually which is why i write this.

This might be strange to say since i rarely/never play Skarner but i really hope if he ever gets reworked or changed his voicelines that they dont completely remove what he used to be like they did with Galio. Galio went from melancholic caring champ to a no brain collossus that sounded like he had been on roids. Which might sound cool for some since he became the league version of the iron giant but i hope thats not the way they go with other champs like it.

So my hope is that if Skarner ever gets the rework/voice line changes that he keeps his story of being the only one of his kind that we know. And that hes not turned into a brainless beast who has very little personality. Strange to say but i hope they keep both his melancholic voice lines with his fearsome lines. Skarner will forever be the champ that made me go [zombie-nunu-hearts] but i never managed to play well.

I take offense to your opinion regarding Galio. He has a unique and refreshing personality within this game and for you to downplay it is a blatant insult to a good man. What they did to Galio not only made him interesting, he actually has in-game lore! Lux actually talks about him in her dialogue too! Not only that, but you have to realize he is brainless. [sg-miss-fortune] He doesn't know about the world outside of Demacia, away from his position, before meeting Lux. His entire life revolves around protecting Demacia and sweet-talking her. He is, overall, a much better character than he used to be.

They probably won't give Skarner an update since they already updated his gameplay during the Shurima expansion. If anything, they'll improve upon it but that's about it. Besides, guy literally sits in a bush and pretends like he's a Pokemon. Use that information as you will.

I would imagine they will keep his lore and personality widely the same. Firstly, it has been updated in the new canon so any alterations would likely be minor. Also, the brackern crystals are used in hextech so Skarner actually plays a pretty important part in the wider story, even outside of Shurima.

In game, they have to keep his ult and look imo. For the rest, I am interested in what they have in mind.

I've been lowkey in love with Skarner since the day I learned he existed (some months after I started playing) and I'd be pretty sad if he underwent huge personality changes in his inevitable VGU. I know he doesn't really appeal to players as he is so something would have to change, but his wistful, melancholic nature is what really drew me to him... along with the fact that he's an awesome-looking purple scorpion. I'd rather see him get the Warwick treatment, where his character is kind of reimagined, but has all the same types of themes and character traits, and his appearance is linked more to his home nation but is more or less similar enough to the original to remain recognizable.

I love Syndra but cant play her at all. I imagine that's how you would feel to skarner... And I love skarner! I play him sometimes, a lot actually. And if they changed him full on like with Galio I would cry. All he really needs is a visual rework like Ezreal's. And maybe a splash update

I personally think of two champions who’s lore needs a touch up: Malphite and Skarner. Since both are rock creatures, giving them a similar origin story could really help both feel like a more relevant backstory.

Skarner's story is basically the origins of Hextech, his update he got over the last 2 years was great and one of the better written stories to me. I hope that stays but Riot need to move to more consistant stories and after the Yordle update there will be like 3 or 4 champs that don't have an update lore so I expect Skarners to stay.

Popularity is the main thing that matters when it comes to changing champions. If not enough people like your guy, you can't expect Riot to be respectful when they start making changes.
