Let's talk about Jayce

High-Elo Meta for Seasons (same as Ori), almost completely impossible to take him out of the game, AoE Range Poke, Nuke, Max. HP damage, Gapcloser, Free Penetration, Melee/Ranged, Mixed Damage and CC. It's not fun to play against it neither as Melee nor Ranged and its nearly impossible to render him weak.

Yes he has his weaknesses, but in the current state its just not fun to play against Jayce by any means.

This isn't meant as QQ, I wanna see what others think about his current state.

No bonus resists in Hammer Form His melee W costs 0 mana but loses the passive mana restore on auto

I think Jayce is a very difficult champion to buff, same with Nidalee. They literally warp the game when they're too strong.

Jayce needs to lose something from his kit. He has the exact same problem Azir had. It's not OK for a champ to have a long range AoE nuke, easy disengage and a gapcloser as well as close ranged nukes all on the same kit. Something has to give.

I'm on for changing from hammer to cannon keeps the remaining cds of his spells instead of resetting them. But since Jayce is like Ori one of Ritos "Playmakers" aka. frequent High-Elo pick they wont do shit.

Balance him for midlane and around him building Tear. He is now not obscenely strong early, he doesn't fall off a cliff, and there are many more skill matchups (for example Syndra)

I really like playing Jayce for exactly the reasons you mentioned. He has counterplay but his kit is totally overloaded to the point that there is no situation he cant handle, yet somehow his win percentage is fairly average. Honestly i wouldn't know how to change him without completely ruining him.
