why can eve miss her initial Q and still use her hate spikes??????????????????

i thought you had to land you Q to use hate spikes on your target and those around them..if thats not the case then what the hell is the point of her initial Q? that shit is misleading. i get the charm cast and flash so eve misses her Q but she uses hate spikes and charms me anyways. what type of bullshit drugs are riot employees on?

Evelynn does not need to land her first cast of Hate Spike to recast it 3 more times.

Evelynn DOES need to land her first cast of Hate Spike to apply a debuff to the enemy hit that causes them to take flat bonus magic damage from the next 3 instances of damage Evelynn deals, meaning that missing her initial Hate Spike reduces her damage output. Also, if she somehow misses her first Hate Spike on a monster camp, she will not get the cooldown refund.

By looking at the numbers right here :

DART DAMAGE: 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 (+ 30% AP)

BONUS DAMAGE: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+ 25% AP)

SPIKE DAMAGE: 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 (+ 30% AP)

Missing her initial Q cast reduces the spell's damage output by :

25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 (+ 30% AP) + (3 x 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+ 25% AP)) = 55 / 90 / 125 / 160 / 195 (+115% AP) damage.

Her 3 re-casts, without the bonus damage, deal 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 / 155 (+90% AP) damage, At every level but level 1, it quite literally cuts her damage in half, and gets progressively stronger, punishing her more and more for missing it.
