can jglrs automatically have smite as their summoner spell please

forgetting smite is way too punishing. I was playing vi jg and forgot smite because i was tending to my baby brothers while waiting in champion select and i kid you not its 15 minutes into the freakin game and im still level 3 because i can barely clear any camps by myself without the enemy jglr camping me to get free kills since hes automatically ahead. The game is literally unplayable because i accidentally forgot one summoner spell. If jglrs need smite THIS BADLY to even play the game then it should automatically be the default summoner spell when your in the jg role because this is just ridiculous.

it would function fine if it gave every role the option to trade summs extremely early in game, not streamlined but it would work.

it would be the default summoner spell but you can still always change it just like any other spell.

Instead of having summ spells defaulting, what about instead a flashing notification? Maybe give it until the ban phase, then if the player marked as jungle hasn't selected smite, have the summ spells bar start flashing, maybe with an audio notification too?

yeah its not complicated, it would just make your D bounded sum smite, and you could change it still like swith flash and smite if you take flash on D, or switch to any other role, there wouldnt have to be any role switching in champ select, people could still do that verbally

Just being dumb but I like the idea sadly the problem is kinda funny. Riot doesn't know which slot to put it in without annoying people

its not forced its just default if you get jg and dont want to have smite you can still always change it.

The point is, what if you’re not the jungle but you swap roles and then forget it. So if you could trade roles then smite would also automatically apply

Unless summoner spells are coded specifically in pregame lobby, (which new runesystem proves isnt true) then there is no reason to not give the jungler a pre 15 second option to switch a summoner spell to smite

Needs to be done, there currently is not an optimal, sub-optimal, or even slightly decent, smiteless jungle strategy for any champion.

The main flaw isnt the kill in clearspeed, its the fact that NOT TAKING SMITE DIRECTLY CUTS THE AMOUNT OF XP THAT YOU CAN AQUIRE FROM THE JUNGLE

this is all due to a mushfuck of non jg champs farming xp in jungle and riot having no other way to stop it.

Ends up hurting less players, but the guy who forgets smite, honestly need to duo top.

I think the better solution would be to make forgetting smite be less punishing. I don't think there is really that good of a reason for people to not be able to build jungle items if they don't have smite.

A lot of the value of the jungle items are in the hp/mp/exp gain for clearing jungle, I don't think it is likely lanes will pick up jungle items for their base stats. But if a jungler forgets smite but can still get the jungle items, he could still Jungle. He may have a harder clear, and lower objective control, but he would at least not fall behind on exp.

the problem is they would fall behind in exp compared to the enemy jg. without thee extra clear speed smite gives the enemy jg will always pull far ahead in exp. And the other issue isn't with lanes taking jg items but non jg clearing the jg. I have taken the bot lane tower early and farmed red and golems just to keep the enemy jg behind in clears.

This is only true, because of the mechanics which riot has added which use to not exist.

What you're describing is something that use to occur and it worked fine, at least it worked just as well as the new design if not better.

Hell i use to jungle without smite on trundle, opted for summoner 4 summoner 3 , because it was possible to do and it felt better to me. All it really did was change the pacing of the jungle (which has it's own benefits).

Like the idea but there is a problem with it. I like having smite on my D key. Some people like smite on there F key. There have been multiple times when flash was on my D key and I flashed instead of smite and my started pinging me. I do think they should do this, but we would have to fix this problem. I don't want smite on my F key and some people don't want smite on their D key.

they could put it automatically on your d key, if you dont like it you could just switch it, and if you forgot to switch it and it bothered you that badly you could just rebind your d and f key, its not that complicated its a really simple solution

It isnt as complicated as people are making it, all riot would have to do is put smite on your d key automatically, if you didnt want it there then you could switch it out, if you forget to switch it out then it definetly would not be as punishing as having no smite as the jungler, and if having smite on d bothered you that badly then just rebind the key, its better than not having smite as the jungler i promise you.
