Relying on Counter-Push Items (Zz'Rot Portal & Banner of Command)

Two utility items that can be more useful. There may be other ways to counter-push but in situations where a team is locked into defending their inhibitors have little-to-no lane control at all. Their enemy is too oppressive! At moments like these you want to counter-push minions so that team can focus on enemy champions. Experienced LoL players are able to predict these situations happening. So with careful planning a team-member can plan a counter-pushing lane-controlling item before their base is hit.

Suggestion:

** Zz'Rot Portal and Banner of Command situational cooldowns.**

  • Item's cooldowns reduced by fixed amount for each turret lost.
  • Item's cooldowns additionally reduced by scaled amount for each enemy turret still standing. (The enemy has more turrets standing than you)
  • This scaled percentage amount will scale back to normal (0% item CDR) if your team has same amount or more turrets standing than the enemy's.
  • Item's cooldowns reduced by large amount for each inhibitor lost. (A percent of cooldown is chunked off the item when you lose an inhibitor)

Zz'Rot Portal abuse:

  1. Zz'Rot Portals placed together. and
  2. Zz'Rot Portals dispensing Voidlings on same lane.

[Unique]: Zz'Rot Portals made in this situation will dispense Voidlings less frequently (but in batches of 2 to 5). Subsequent Zz'Rot Portals deployed in this situation will have one instant cooldown refresh for redeployment (Oops!). If it takes damage from champions the cooldown refresh is reverted.

(These two conditions visually link Zz'Rot Portals together like Gangplank barrels as tiny crystals spiking the ground)

It simply makes these specific items more reliable when needed most. If you used it at the wrong time you are still not able to use it .. but you can rely on them more at late game.

It's quite simple. Please asks questions if you don't understand.

Question: If you have lost a inhibitor, can you use a ZZ'Rot Portal to stabilize/overpower your opponents super minions?

Or is the item not powerful enough for that? Or is it not worth it due to the potential gold your giving the other team? I like the idea of the ZZ'Rot Portal but I just don't use it much, it seems so useless.

No. The reward of having a super-minion is kept. The Zz'Rot Portal would just slow-down the powerful minions.

I love getting portal/banner; often both in the same game. I tend to play pretty squishy supports like Karma and Soraka. Banner is great for the MR aura, if that is an issue in lane. Likewise Zz is great for the spread of MR and armour, again if that is an issue. On top of that, the active for both can allow me to push a lane, without having to be in lane. Pop the "Promotion" early in the lane, then move up towards the nearest tower and pop the "portal". Voidlings hold up the lane ahead a little while the minion wave builds, especially with the powerful seige minion. Between waves the voidlings are jumping off to get some early damage on the tower. It doesn't always work usually because a champ comes up to clear.... cooldown and setup again + I can take someone bigger up and jump on the individual clearing the lane.

I'd like to see more of these kinds of items!
