Illaoi unbeatable (top lane)

Calling for Illaoi nerfs. You can camp her all you want, it literally doesn't matter how far ahead you get in lane, she will ALWAYS destroy you 1v1. Her ult is so ridiculously overpowered that it can make up for at least a one-item deficit. I've had so, so many games where I get ahead (3-0, 4-0, 5-0) and still get fucked when I try to fight her because of her god damn broken hentai ult. It's even more dangerous to gank her post-6, because odds are she will kill you both instead. It's almost impossible to dodge her E point-blank. You can't clear her tentacles because it leaves you in the open for her to E you. If you run from her E, you're back at square one because it spawns 2 additional tentacles, and if you try to fight in her E she ults you and oneshots you. You can try to bait her ult, but it's going to hit you at least once and then you're too low to stay in lane and by the time you get back she has it up again.

And before ppl go "hurr durr don't fight her" that's not an option. You can't have a champion that's so strong that she can zone away champions who are far, far ahead of her. Yes you can pick a ranged champ which counters her to an extent, but for the other 95% of top laners she's unstoppable.

Gut her.

U are not supposed to 1v1 her as melee. She is designed to be god against melee but a rabbit without eyes and all 4 legs broken against anything ranged

if you're up 2-0 in lane and ahead in farm, i dont care what the designers intentions were with the champion - antimelee or w/e bullshit you want to call it, she should not be able to 1v1 you. If you make mistakes and die in lane, you deserve to pay for it. The rule apparently doesn't apply to illaoi. She has massive damage, easy wave clearing, and her E auto zones you from engaging or farming, none of which becomes any less effective when she 'gets behind'. Completely broken, bullshit champion. It's blatantly obvious to anyone that has any grasp of the game.

summoner 3 this is all you need as soon as she dunks exhaust her boom she lost her huge burst just walk out of her ult afterwards. Fiora beats her if you can dodge her ult Darius outscales and can dodge tentacles with cleaver mobility Riven can dodge all her spells. Yasuo + exhaust she will never 1v1 you without exhaust and you can block her E in lane to avoid the poke Olaf outsustain her and you can 1v1 her easily pre 6 and destroy her . She is an oppresive champion but she is sluggish her counterplay is mobility and range. that's all but YEH i do hate getting oneshoted as soon as i aproach her killing radius and all i can do is walk or flash away. + ganks after 6 are a no go unless you can chain cc.

I main Riven and I always get fucked by illaoi. I can destroy her pre-6 but after 6 there's nothing I can do. You can dodge her Q all day but if you're clearing tentacles you won't be juking her E very much, especially since Riot's coding doesn't let you dodge skillshots with dashes.

Sure you can take exhaust...and so can she. Back to square 1. Exhaust also has a 4 minute cooldown vs her ~1 minute cd ult after cleaver

she ults you, you move away from her zone.

Illaoi is the same as zyra & heimer in a way. More defensive than offensive. You enter their zone, you'll get screwed over.

Kite back, rotate to other objectives, displace her away from her tentacles. There are lots of ways to play around her.

Not every champ is supposed to just go in and in and nothing else but in. Play to your strengths and not into hers.

dunno maybe improve your riven i barely ever lose to illaoi unless she gets post 6 ganks and if you both use your exhausts and ults you can kill her cause riven is stronger than illaoi if both have ults on cooldowns. but i can also never win her without exhaust so tp is never an option which restricts my playmaking . generally she is too oppresive and i agree with some tuning to her maybe decrease dmg and increase her healing that would be fine imo but she will end up a drain tank and rito hates drain tanks Aatrox a good example

she's not unbeatable. even as a melee. her level 1 is actually pretty weak as her tentacle is telegraphed and easy to dodge.

her kit is toxic to play against as melee as her E and general damage is insane. and her ult is basically her free get out of jail card as you HAVE to disengage any aggression when she ults, but I've seen good players beat good illaoi's in lane as melee champs and it's not easy, but you can do it.

I think she's definitely too strong and needs nerfs for sure but they want her to be relevant so they leave her in this state. she needs changes I feel. her kit is so garbage and the only way she's good is if she's too strong.

Or if you have CC, you can just silence/stun/suppress/any other movement inhibition CC (because that prevents her for jumping for the W) when she tries to ult. Then just kill her.

And no, not really. She's strong. But she's not too strong. And she doesn't need nerfs at all.
