League needs more point and click hard CC.
All those "I'd rather kill myself" to play against champions are of the hyper mobile/hard to pin down variety and this is only possible due to a lack of point and click hard CC. Just take a look at toplane for a second, we got Viktor who kites you for ages with his constant movespeed bursts and shield spam, Irelia and Yasuo who are just all over the place coming at you from 9 different directions at the same time, and of course the current OP jackass the master of "My Q has 1 second cooldown thanks to Essence Reaver and also my auto attacks deal 5000dmg" himself, Jax, and last but not least the combo queen Riven. All these champions could be hard countered by throwing a stun their way.
But in recent seasons Riot has made it their mission to remove as much point and click hard CC from the game because players complained about the lack of counter play. Irelia's E got reworked from a 2 seconds point and click stun into a .75 seconds delayed skillshot stun, Warwick's ultimate is now a skillshot, Taric's Q is now a skillshot, Alistar's CC got heavily reduced and a large part of it is now a stun instead of a knockup, Veigar's cage got a delay, Annie's stun duration now scales with levels and part by part Riot is introducing more and more hyper mobile flashy high DPS champions and taking out the little counter play we had against these kind of champions. Not to mention any point and click CC always has to come with huge trade-offs, champions with point and click hard CC had to deal with constant nerfs, a lack of damage and Riot's obsession of not allowing them to be viable outside of a specific nieche Riot deems ok for these champions.
tl;dr: point and click hard CC would open up counterplay options against hyper mobile high damage champions but Riot is constantly removing it from the game while at the same time introducing more and more of these types of champions so right now there's too much damage and snowballing in the game and we need point and click hard CCs back in league to deal with it.
Unpopular opinion, I know, I don't care.
