AD assassins are too strong

Compared to most ap champions, ad midlaners are too strong right now. Most of their core items give them lethality, which ignores some of the base armor the mage has. Neither the two magic pen items nor Zhonyas is a good starting items for mages, so their is no decent early game counter. Their items also give them a ridiculous amount of out of combat movement speed, so even if you outplay them in lane they can roam really easily and get kills. And we cant forget that there are two items that give them shields against ap abilities, and there are no items that give ap champions physical damage shields. AD items are too strong the way they are now. In a recent game I played (I was an ap midlaner), I was against a Zed. I was outfarming him, but as soon as he got yoummus, he killed me from full health with his ult. Getting one item should not snowball a champion that hard. In my opinion, lethality needs to get changed or a good anti-ad mage item needs to be introduced.

There are three, actually.

Lol. Touche. Most midlaners won't build banshee's veil though.

item 3191 I know this because any mage player worth a damn builds this against me no matter what. The ones that don't deserve to die. Also he could have just been outplaying you because if zed ults you you have a point blank Q to stun him with.

So not having my Q available means Zed should be able to oneshot me with one item? That's interesting logic. And any player that is worth a damn builds item 3155 against me, and hexdrinker is a lot stronger than seeker's armguard. Look at the midlaners with the top winrates. The first 3 are all champions that build lethality. That's no a coincidence.

Why is your Q not available because as anivia you have no reason to use it in that matchup unless he is going in on you. If it's not up you are misplaying. Hexdrinker is arguably stronger than seeker but ad items in general are stronger than ap to make up for the range and CC difference + AOE damage. Zhonyas is stronger than maw though and well as the strongest in game active it's hard to look for a comparison. Lethality items were overtuned and lethality + damage got nerfed this patch. Also yes a zed hitting you with his entire combo should kill you. Literally the point of the champion. If you as an anivia player hit me with double Q + E while i'm sitting in R and kill me is it unfair? What does winrates of other champions have to do with zed killing you as anivia? Jhin has the highest playrate in the game therefore we need to buff vladimir.

Well, it does have a cooldown... So maybe that is why. No reason to use it? Guess the goal with Anivia is to do absolutely no damage to enemy champions now. And Zhonyas is nowhere close to being as strong as Maw. A strong active is the magic shield on the new lethality item, not zhonyas. And show me where lethality got nerfed in the patch notes, because I'm not seeing anything of the sort. Thats funny. Go to practice mode. A Zed will not instakill an Anivia on level 6 when she is at full health and he has only one item. Especially because Riot wanted to reduce instakills, not make them happen as soon as a hcmap gets their ult. And since when does an Anivia instakill a Zed with her stun(which is slow as hell, and with one E)? She doesnt... What doesn't it? It just proves the point that AD midlaners are dominating the game now because of all the lethality items.

Jhin is on a completely different level. The fact that Jhin and Varus are in almost 80% of games shows that Riot either needs to nerf them, or buff some of the others.

PS- I do not require a response. You are obviously too in love with AD midlaners (Zed specifically), to see that there is an issue between their items and mages items.

I was against a Zed. I was outfarming him, but as soon as he got yoummus, he killed me from full health with his ult.

he didn't just hit with his Ult though did he, he hit both of his and his clones shurikans and E, then the ult pops, he completed a full combo on you, go watch the replay from the LoL client.

Getting one item should not snowball a champion that hard. In my opinion, lethality needs to get changed or a good anti-ad mage item needs to be introduced.

its almost as if you should farm from range and force a mistake or freeze the lane just before your turret so he cannot Assassinate you and punish him for missed CD usage.

and its almost as if you could build Zonyas, that item that grants you invulnerability and renders zed ultimate, or talons, generally any all0in assassins useless limiting there popping potential now more than ever.

or you could take exhaust and render zeds ultimate a noodle......

just like.....throwing it out there.

while were not pro's i'd like to still point out the dominance of AP in mid....

Zhonya's compared to Hexdrinker and the lethality item that gives a shield (it's name isn't coming to me at this moment) is a joke. Hexdrinker gives and magic shield and lifesteal, and the lethality item gives you a free magic shield. All Zhonya's does is let me sit there invulnerable for a few seconds. So maybe my spells will be back up, but so will the ad midlaners. There is no dominance of AP midlaners (other than LeBlanc because Riot can't balance her for crap). Lets look at the midlaners with the highest win rates:

  1. Quinn
  2. Talon
  3. Pantheon Seems to me like AP midlaners aren't doing much dominating nowadays. All of those champions build lethality as well.

PS- Even if Zed ulted me and hit me with his Q and his E it shouldnt be a oneshot at level 6 with one item. That is ridiculous. PPS- It is a little difficult to know the enemy team has a Zed when you can't see.
