Playing ADC, about to just give up on bot lane

I started as jungler. It was easy and allowed me to figure out all the items and combos and practice on what is essentially a target dummy.

Then I went top. Since I knew how jung worked, I could better deal with receiving ganks.

Then I went bot as ADC. A friend was support and wanted me to go bot with him. I used my jungler as ADC because I knew the champ. We wrekt. It was fun. Then I decided to actually learn ADC and started playing marksmen.

I now know that my friend is an amazing support.

In every game I have to explain the role of support to someone who has no idea what support is and doesn't care.

It turns into a 3v1 and I can't kill the support.

"Stop hitting minions" "Focus the enemy ADC" "Harass them not me" "Stop typing excuses and just do it" "Stop hiding behind me, I am not a tank" "Stop racing me back to tower while they are both trying to kill me" "When I go in, YOU GO IN" "Stop pushing the wave" "Stop pushing the wave" "STOP PUSHING THE WAVE" "Stop focusing their tank support." "Ward a bush, any bush.......its the yellow thing......push 4"

I thought about using a macro to scroll these during game.

One game I built Ashe as a tank. All armor and MR., and it drove the enemy crazy as they all focus the ADC and I would poke and CC and then walk away. Of course I could not actually kill anybody either, but then it helped me not die when my team would fake engage and all run behind the ADC.

I have had 2 good supports in 3 years.

Two.

Recently, I started running Vayne. With a good support I went 34/5. All my games with the regular troll support are limited to trying not to die so much and usually 9/12 ish.

When I try to tell them what they are doing wrong , they want to argue and the team says I am complaining.

Top lane tells me to "stop whining", so I go top lane and take a couple waves of HIS minions and he goes nuts. I ask why is it "whining" when someone does it to me? And it is wrong when I do the same to him? I push his lane kill the enemy and take tower, then leave.

Then Jungler goes bot lane for a "visit". The enemy runs under tower because jungle didn't wait until they were out far enough. So jungle just starts farming my lane. I ping and tell him to stop. He takes a whole wave and leaves. Not even one hit on an enemy champ. This repeats.

Under these conditions, I tell them "If you farm it, it's yours. Bot lane is yours, not mine anymore and I will not go back no matter what happens." I leave bot and never return. I farm the other lanes and jungle until I get back some cs and buy items then go camp mid for the inevitable team slaughter that repeats over and over with lots of accusations and finger pointing. All this until 20 min in and the FF spam starts.

I used to rant in game, but now I give them a warning. And I count out what they are doing wrong. Then I leave.

"Stop hitting minions, you are wasting hits, harass the enemy with your abilities."

they continue and even increase the effort and try to last hit anything I hit.

"If you continue to hit minions I am leaving."

They continue.

"Ok that's 15........keep going and I leave at 20 ....16....17....18......19...bye"

HEY COME BACK!!!!! REPORT ADC!!!!!!! report report report. Yeah you suck, you never kill anybody. You are throwing the game! go back bot!!!! come on man.....etc etc.

This approach gives them an immediate feedback and they suffer from their decision to troll. And I don't get stressed out anymore because I already accept that the game is lost after 5 minutes of troll support. I have half the cs of the enemy ADC and no way to catch up. So I practice my ADC skills on whatever is available to hit and wait for the FF spam and the ranting. If you can come farm my lane, I can go farm yours.

Why do they even log in?

Then they want me to be able to carry even though they starved me for 20 minutes. LOL

This is everyday all week all month for hours at a time.

And when I point out that they are in fact trolling, they start reporting me for calling them out.

I report all this almost every game. No idea if anyone is listening, nothing changes. Same thing everyday for months now.

And because I know there will be trolls here who want to make me the bad guy......... I have come to the point where I really don't care what any of you think. You are all just flesh bots who type random nonsense in chat and never go in and leave anybody who does go in stranded as you run away.

Focus now. I know you want to get this all twisted.

THEY TROLL ME FOR 5 MINUTES STRAIGHT , THEN I LEAVE. So no, it is not in any way my doing. This is my RESPONSE to trolling. I am reacting to BEING trolled.

This is what I have done before, but going forward, I think I will just mute all before minions spawn and not bother explaining.

Probably paste a link to this in select. I am sure they will come here and type more nonsense, while completely missing the point.

I would really prefer to just leave game, but then I get an afk report and go in low priority que for not wanting to be trolled.

If anyone has reasonable ideas on this , I am open to suggestions.

Few things to note here.

  1. Were these players who normally play support? If not than you are criticizing players who are not actually apart of this group.

  2. Are they hitting minions so you can last hit faster to push faster? If so, then you state that you do not want to push (then you cannot auto attack to lessen a minion. You can only auto/abilities to last hit)

  3. Are they aggressive champions that should/can play aggressive? Having champs like Thresh poke with his autos, fine. Braum with his abilities (Q), fine. Janna with her abilities... a bit weird. It would be better for her to be more defensively and occasionally use her Q to deal damage. Using her E would be better with giving chase or being chased (and her Q--Janna is the queen of disengages so...)

  4. Allowing a Zyra, Brand, Annie, or Mal support to have some cs means they can be a one to two less item mid lane mage. Meaning they can be competent combatants in battle.

  5. Do you state your play style to your support? When I play Support, I sometimes ask my marksmen are we playing aggressively or passively and how good are their follow ups? Because bot lane is a partner lane, communication is helpful. So the question is, do you ever communicate to your support or do you just yell at them for whatever issues yo do not like?

  6. You need to have better tolerance than that. Support hits minions 20 times and you are out? Really? Wow.

  7. A support hitting a minion does not equal trolling. That equals I) Pushing II) Setting up minion for you III) You are at base and thus is okay for them IV) They have Relic Shield Proc and can heal and give you gold while getting a minion for themselves.

  8. Your Tolerance is really low. You are not setting yourself for higher tier rank.

  9. Keep in mind the vision trinket is on about a 2 minute (a little less, just rounding up) so they cannot keep warding constantly until they get a Sightstone-- a 800 gold item that takes time for a support that has no cs, no kills, no assists.

I mean... then again I don't play the ADC role. I play support. I don't fail in anything you said except the poking part. I don't want to risk being too aggressive and give the enemy marksman a kill and for them to snowball. That is a draw back in playing too aggressive, it can back fire and the enemy can take advantage of that. That is the only point I fall flat on (and as of late, I keep forgetting to place Control Wards for some odd reason).

All I know is that most players are auto filled to support and thus do not know how or what to do. Something to keep in mind.

Stop thinking that your teammates are trolling you. STOP IT. It's making you toxic.

Instead, think of them like new players. They have no idea what they're doing. This always helps relax me.

Think of yourself as a much higher elo player, playing alongside a bunch of noobs, and that you personally have to carry each one. You can't rely on their teamfighting abilities, because they have none, you can't rely on their CS skills, they don't even know what that means, and you simply grind out the bad games, and live for the moments where you can shine!

A lot of the times you are going to get a support, that was put there by Autofill. You can ask in champ select if this is true BEFORE going into a game. If it is true, expect suboptimal supporting, JUST EXPECT IT.

In fact, you can ask the support to simply roam and harrass other lanes, if you want the lane to yourself (if you pick a safe laner like Cait or Ez). This sometimes helps a lot. They can repeatedly gank mid or top.

I did this when I was forced to play support. Our bot lane was doing very well, so I, playing Naut, went mid many times to shove my anchor up their mid's butt. I think that alone helped us win the game. If I continued laning, it was most likely a loss.

Sticking to a single strategy, which is what you are doing, by making your laning partner adhere to certain rules that you've made up, is making you not enjoy the game. You need to communicate different strategies if your lane is not going well. Hell, you could go mid to gank if you want!

That "dont hit my minions" made me smile.

In my first games I found someone like you "dont hit my minions!", when I was helping him to push. Then I stopped doing it, he got so mad that I stopped doing it forever. I thought, "hey, I'm doing wrong".

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once I knew what I was doing and got a bit higher elo, I realized we got harashed all the time because enemy hit lvl2 before us because I didnt help to push at the right time. I realized 99% adcs up to platinum have: 1) no fkng idea about wave manipulation. 2) no fkng idea about when to back. 3) no fckng idea aboug when to all in and when to poke.

I dont listen people like you anymore, I do what I think it has to be done. period. And if I think that the wave should be pushed, i push. Plus, I only play champions that are able to manipulate waves, since I couldnt stand adcs incompetence in this task anymore.

I thought about making some videos on "how to bronze".

Like all those videos on youtube where they always win and they are always right all the time.

That might be more fun than playing the game.

Let's look at this another way.

Is Support helping when they do not ward the bushes? Yes or no? Is support helping when they last hit minions? Yes or no? Is support helping when they deny the ADC cs by any action? Yes or no? Is support helping by never hitting the enemy while the enemy harasses and zones out the ADC? Yes or No?

Did you answer no to these? We agree, done. Did you answer yes to any of these? We disagree and always will, done.
