I didn't get the chance to play Kayn so I can't really say but...
It seems as if Darkin Kayn (or Rhaast) is slightly overpowered while Shadow Kayn is rather weak. And, no, I'm not salty, just inquisitive.
Your thoughts?

Both are undertuned.
If Kayn can't get ahead he is near uselss.
Rhaast has CC though, so if the games goes on long enough, he can catch back up.
Shadow has good burst, but again, needs to get ahead early to be useful.
^This. If you fall behind with red form you still have % health damage and utility cc, which lets you still be useful from behind and have a shot to catch up. Now if you get behind on blue Kayn game becomes basically 4 vs 5 for your team. And Kayn tends to get behind early since he is one of the weakest champions in the game before he transforms, so it's not hard to gues that red form is safer.
Rhaast is silly with his passive. Shadow's passive works as a fighter, not an assassin in that he does more damage for a few seconds from frontward fighting and not out maneuvering like assassins are meant to.
Rhaast is certainly better though. It's no comparison. Shadow is gated mainly by his clunky Q. If they made it like his W in which he could move after the dash and let his shadow spin, I think he would be just as good. As it stands, it's an extreme moment of weakness for someone that has no built in sustain like or CC kike rhaast.
