Will my first placement match be a loss?

I just got my 20th champ. Now time to rank. I was trying to ban a champion but all my bans were gone and I didn't see the timer and it ran out.. does that count as a loss? I don't see it on my account as counting as a loss. It says I've played no ranked games yet.

In placement matches, dodges don't count as losses. They count as losses is promo series, but not in placements.

Yes, and so will all your others. You will lose all your placement matches and be forever banished to the darkest depths of the hell that is Bronze 5.
